II: Refine the self & set up the foundation
Overcome anger & lust;conquer the self& return to normalcy.
Refining the self & mastering the mind are building the foundation;
Mudane feelings & idle thoughts are all to be thrown away.When you have refined yourself to where it does not exist, you are
calm and controlled, even in difficult situations that would cause anxiety to
others; your are unshakable like a mountain & cannot be deluded.This whole set of verses here echoes the great gift from Master Yi Eng’s lineage of his Alchemical formulas. Balancing emotional energies, Patterns, & feelings are essential to our foundation practice.
I utilize stillness in my alchemy practice usually 20-25 minutes sometimes I do a
full set of Wuji Gong and then spiral clockwise in a Five Element movement set, then enter my meditation side of the practice, which utilizes stillness, deep smiling awareness, & moves through fusion or to where I am at this time of the year of greater Kan & Li path. But nothing is programmed or set in stone some days I do a whole set of healing Sounds & MCO practice. I stick to what is best for at the time…Stillness I found to be great for building my foundation & smiling awareness;
the basic opening formulas helped me as a teenager to control my emotions and overcome my prolonged illness that I had to about 16, I am now alot older…Some people doubt the formulas and it’s uses for me it has balanced my emotional energies since 1984… I learned various versions of these practices from many teachers, I do think we are entering a new paradigm of better understanding than in the old days, and more & more other teachers are starting to pop up with great new insights.
Enjoy hope we can get some more views here…SnowLion

See dalai lama. He still believes that resistance needs to be developed against suffering. Personal contact with neutrality is the only answer.
But then he is breeding cancer and travels first class.
And this is mental-only analysis.Full level elemental trainning is scary.
And it should be so.
If you have anything better to do, than do that. Get a job,a boss, a wife, children…
Only if you do not, should you practice.
Even with heart and earth honouring approach.
It is nice that the formula is ineffective until you get it
for the alternative that it is effectfull until you get it.
And that is not always nice.June 7, 2006 at 3:43 am #14646Alexander AlexisParticipant“Overcome anger & lust;conquer the self& return to normalcy.”
This line really bugs me. “Overcome” “conquer” It sounds too much like what I remember reading from Madame Blavatsky a long time ago (“Kill out the self.”) It’s negatively aggressive.
I don’t think forcing onesself to change really effects change. That is nothing more than one part of the ego trying to control the others. Growth is about integration and that comes from fulfilling the parts inside us. Directing is one thing and controlling another. Balancing and refining yourself is an act of loving guidance. What is one cultivating if one is fighting?“But nothing is programmed or set in stone some days I do a whole set of healing Sounds & MCO practice. I stick to what is best for at the time…”
Yes. I do that too, a really fluid practice. I like to use the gardening analogy. You look at your garden and see what needs to be done that day. It’s different every day. That’s cultivation.
