if you enjoy breathing, or keeping your feet on the ground, this may be of interest.

The microcosmic orbit is completely effective when it is felt and charged, not when it is somehow “visualized”. The charging is a palpable issue of focus and electricity. The visualization is not. This could be proven. Surely some sort of MRI or other imaging can show this?
The “New Age” community has a horrible reputation for weak visualization practices which are seen as hocus pocus mumbo. That’s because of weak visualization practices.
In contrast, solid work has been done showing self, or body, image projection as a very powerful psychological tool and, possibly, for dream time or “remote” studies…
These are, again different things. The problem with breath practices is the lack of evidence that the “inner” breathing is a real phenomenon and not an illusion.

For instance in Deep Healing Qigong, when you work with the directions … can you feel them ? Not imagine you feel them, but can you be in relation with the directions themselves ? Can you feel East and South ? This goes far beyond believing in them.
Likewise with the Sun and Earth practices, and those relating to the Infinite Potential of the Void. Do you feel them ?
Do you feel their being ?
And it is not so easy to Actualize.
Because for you to Actualize, you yourself have to be Actual. Meaning that it must be the deepest part of yourself, the most real part, that is doing the Actualization.
Otherwise it is one sleeping human dreaming about something he heard.
As for getting an MRI or something to “verify” the energies … you could widen this question to simply ask why Science cannot prove spirituality.
Without thinking too much about it, I would say that what we call spiritual does not actually exist in the material plane, we feel it here but it is actually not here so it cannot be measured by a device made of matter. It can however be measured with a device made of the substance of Light, in other words a human who has a soul can feel it.
For a human being to need Science to prove something to him, implicitly means that the human being lives without contact of his deeper reality. Because his deeper reality is already in contact with life directly.
Science cannot prove life or death, consciousness love or intelligence. It’s a good thing they aren’t important to us then !
There are various standards that are sometimes arbitrarily decided upon to decide for instance when to unplug a man in a coma. And frequently there are people who wake up from coma even when the doctor pronounced them dead.
Human knowledge is actually a kind of mass delusion, a mass of arbitrarily arrived at meaningless hysteria that humans call “knowledge”. Strange but true. Like the thing that is known as “history”, which is actually the journal entries of the worlds greatest murderers and how great they thought they were.
