So while I’ve been sitting on the side lines in my front row seat (I pre-booked season tickets in advance), watching this Jesus, Buddah, Tao, Binary soul discussion (polite debate), I thought I might tickle the keypad and say a couple of things, in no particular order.
Max said
>>Yes, many Masters chose to reincarnate to help you and me. After Buddha was free, he stayed and his only purpose was to teach others how to do the same.<< I thought that was the definition of a bohdisattva ie, one who chooses to incarnate in order to assist those of us in this dimension Indeed, Buddah remained on until his physical death, but, as osho said on many occasions, a Buddha, does not and cannot come back to this dimension. Mainly for the reason, if my understanding is correct, that this dimension is too dense for them. Ramana Marahshi, when asked where he was going as he died, replied "where can I go?" This seems to correlate with the hypothesis about heaven being here and now, only the vibration is different. And enlightenment. I always thought that enlightenment would benefit the physical body through the virtues of balance and harmony, but Oshos' health declined post enlightenment.(USA government poisoning notwithstanding) Noteably it was his lungs that weakened, apparenttly through lack of integration of his po with the hun. Master Zhongxian WU in his book 'chinese shamanic tiger qigong' asks the question "why did some enlightened beings die from physical illness?" Citing Ramana Marharshis' death from cancer as a case in point. He says he will discuss the topic in his next book 'the way of enlightenment-chinese shamanic 28 lunar mansions cosmic qigong' And yes, while all this talk about binary souls, Jesus, Buddah, Taoist imortals etc is creating debate, and difference of view, I CANNOT help but wish there was a unifying principle among it all that would bring us all together. While at the same time still allowing us to choose the cultivation practice that best suits our individual preference. In the mean time, my ass is getting sore from sitting on the fence matApril 19, 2006 at 12:20 pm #13033baguaParticipantHi Mat:
I think there are some who are not trapped and limited by the models or tradition and can see the unity. It is my experience when all the talk is over, honest people end up agreeing on the ulitmate achievement, unity with the whole or the creator.

I find it to be irrefutably true that unity-oneness-wholeness is the goal, freedom, the result, and the silence of the inner smile to be the means.
Blessings, Alexander

Are you in a relationship? Can you tell me why or why not? Just interested in your choice.
Thanks
April 21, 2006 at 1:32 pm #13047baguaParticipantNot only are there mutliple shen, I thing there are mutliple writers on this list, possibly fragmented aspects of their shen. So there may be one person writing under numerous names, its hard to disguise the writing style too much. That is why I asked the question.
April 21, 2006 at 1:50 pm #13049FajinParticipantAnd you thought that Singing Ocean was one of them! LOL.
