Hello,
After I practiced with the Deep Healing QiGong video for the first time I felt tired which is very different from how I normally feel after QiGong practice. A short time after that I started to feel worse. It felt like many of the symptoms that have caused me to start practicing QiGong got worse. This lasted for about 48 hours as I slowly started feeling better. I felt that the practice was very powerful for me. I had very clear visualizations and felt very centered and in the moment. I was wondering if it is possible that I did something wrong or if, possibly, the symptoms I felt were caused by deeper levels of energetic patterns being released than what I am used to, or something to that effect. I decided not to practice until I felt better, but now that I am feeling better I am planning on giving it another try. Anyone have any thoughts? Is it possible for a healing QiGong set to make you feel worse as it is healing you? Like a kind of detox
ThanksI’m sure Steven will have a much more detailed explanation, but my guess would be what they call a “healing crisis.” From what I understand that is a detox effect in which it gets worse before it gets better. I have not practiced the Deep Healing Qigong so I can’t speak to that specifically.
I concur with what Jeff said.
It is likely a detox reaction.
DHQ is a VERY powerful form, and it really cleanses you.To minimize any detox reactions, make sure not to overdo it in
the beginning . . . allow yourself to build up over time.
Make sure to breathe slow and relaxed; doing the whole form
slower if you need to. During the bathing segments, you
may want to take an extra relaxed slow breath in between
each cycle to help ground you.Qi,

About one and a half years ago my mother had a very strange sicknees while she was on vacation. Stayed with her for more than a month. When she get home I did a Deep Healing Qigong pratice with her. She starts to sweat like I never see before. Like all the sickness were coming out of her. After 3 practices (in which one she sweats less) the sickness was gone.
