Medical and Spiritual Qigong (Chi Kung)

Hey all,
I’ve been checking out the Deep Healing Qigong. Looks awesome!
I love the ritualistic form and counterbalance to primordial.
Though in the beginning, would it not make more sense to start with Earth, then go around and end with Fire, instead of vice versa as it is taught? So as to follow the nurturing cycle of course.
Maybe the distinction isn’t terribly important but I am a perfectionist after all 🙂
Deep Healing Qigong is a fantastic form, my personal favorite.
Your question of starting with Fire is a good one.
DHQ is an adaptation of a medical qigong form.
Most medical qigong forms have the practitioner begin by
facing south (the Fire direction). The reason for this,
to my understanding, is to give honor to the Heart, which
is considered the Emperor/Ruler of the body.
Of course, since this is a form that Michael created,
he may have a better explanation . . .

Interesting, thanks for the feedback Steven.
