Of late I have been doing a lot of emotional expression screaming crying anger sadness, within chi kung practice. I started letting it out with less and less inhibition. All the time not just during 5 animals.
But it seems to me that most people do chi kung whilst holding all that stuff in. All the pain anger tension and so on …. it’s not really welcomed.
When where you in a chi kung class and everyone screaming …. no they are stum quiet and performing the practice like good little robots.
And it’s pathetic frankly like most therapies that exist they serve the purpose of finding another way of squashing down those deep animal feelings. Nobody cares about them, nobody cares about you. Just keep quiet and perform …. oh yes you’ll “get better”.
Quite frightiening the level of repression in human beings, in our society, perhaps once upon a time it had a reason, but not anymore.
Mankind is barbaric simply because he is full of pain, and every therapy that comes along is another way of rationalizing it away, pushing it away, taking pills and removing it chemically.
The fear of existing is vast.
Have 10 children, anything, just don’t let me feel anything, don’t let me be alive – I am not ready.
So yeah I am doing bioenergetics and letting it all out – that is the only therapy I know which wants you to feel, to exist.
But then I just starting screaming panting grunting during chi kung, and then during silk reeling.
Silk reeling stimulates all the limbs strongly and any traumas in there are effectively released. Very very good. Plus you get the benefits of creating a new kind of movement for your body that is tai chi, and healthy.
I got the silk reeling dvd from ken gullette, it’s really good.
Can’t imagine anyone can learn tai chi without silk reeling practice either.
Many spiritual people I have seen in recent weeks in all traditions have smiley faces but don’t convince me.
