I’m looking for a way to continue on my path that is acceptable to my Christian community/family.
I’m at lesser kan & li…I can’t discontinue practice, but is there some other Christian path that I can jump onto with similar results? I prefer the Daoist methods…but I’m willing to sacrifice a little to love those around me.
I’m trying to love them by not just leaving them all to their set ways…if I just walk away, they’ll all be convinced for the rest of their lives that daoism and meditation are evil. But if I remain I can slowly walk them forward…
July 31, 2017 at 8:43 am #1709rideforeverParticipantMost “Christians” will be afraid of anything you do, because they live in fear and have often inwardly totally given up. You might want to “love them” by joining them, like you might want to have a drink with an alcoholic, but this is not love.
The only way “love” will happen is if someone in this group does not die meaninglessly on this planet.
Jesus, what was his experience on this Earth ? He was in constant battle with the Pharissees and his own family who opposed him, some of his family even turned up at his speeches to embarrass him.
But he put the truth, the Light and the good above everything. And he forgave them for they do not know what they do.
The No1 easy excuse for not doing the work is because “you want to save them” …. by sitting in a grave with them. No-one will be saved unless somebody can be honest first. And if they won’t do it, you are the only one that can do it. That is your job in fact.
You say you have got to kan & li ? What what does that mean, anything happen inside or are you just ticking off courses ? Is it of value to you, and of how much value ? What is the truth ? If you give it up so easily, maybe it’s better to stick to Christianity.
Are there traditions in Christianity ? Yes, Paneurythmy and Gurdjieff Movements, these both include energetic aspects. The monks do many exercises. And many ordinary practices like kneeling with your spine erect, bowing, praying, these are also energetic, even make the sign of the cross is. But how many kneel these days, mostly they give a half-hearted half-bow as they walk past the statue of Christ – they do not see the shame of this.
Perhaps they are afraid like you of taking it seriously.
Perhaps they are afraid what their friends will think of them, if they actually kneel on the cold hard floor with their knees and actually pray to Christ to save them.
They are afraid what others would say.
And you are afraid what others would say.And there is no need to inflict Qigong on them, or explain it to them so that you save them. Again this is your problem and your entanglement, not theirs. Leave them be and perhaps they will leave you be.
Get to the top of the mountain first before you lead them, else you will lead them off the side of the mountain.

If there were path that continued along the exact same stages as the healingDao that my community would recognize as Christian, I could, perhaps, be able to open the doorway for Christians to enter into this. It’d be stupid of me to not look into it. Is there such a path? Any suggestions on where to look?
After finally breaking out of my Christian belief system, it’d be painful to spend my time in that restrictive community for the rest of my life, but maybe it’d be more loving than ditching their presence for the more comfortable community of Daoists.
August 3, 2017 at 7:17 am #1714rideforeverParticipantI don’t think you can help anyone by being conceited, and harbouring negative judgements about them and their path.
Perhaps if you were further along your own path more would be possible.

Composed in Sanskrit and available in almost all Indian languages, it promotes bhakti (devotion) to Krishna integrating themes from the Advaita (monism) philosophy of Adi Shankara.

…I am not willing to be unloving…
It’s quite surprising that although superficially Srimad Bhagavatam would seem to be about bhakti; the actual message would seem to be that the bad guys are more advanced with their attitude.
…Jesus, what was his experience on this Earth ? He was in constant battle with the Pharissees and his own family who opposed him…
Yes he had his own share of suppressive persons. and and if these Jesus myths would be really true he mainly made idiotic choises how to act with his enemies.
Sorry for my broken English.

A Suppressive Person (SP) is a person who seeks to suppress other people in their vicinity. A Suppressive Person will goof up or vilify any effort to help anybody and particularly knife with violence anything calculated to make human beings more powerful or more intelligent.

Once Shiri Krishna described Kansa as his bhakt and named his bhakti as virudha bhakati. What is your idea?
Best Answer: The term virodha means against or opposing. Kansa attained the Supreme Lord Krishna through Bhaya,=fear
Kansa attained mukti through this fear of Krsna. This state HOWEVER MUST BE NATURAL because no one ever attained God by being OFFENCIVE. Moreover this mood that kansa had is not favourable for ones devotion therefore listed as VIRODHA=against
5 different ways to absorb your self and obtain krsna (or one of the five types of liberation- “slokaya sarsti……..”)August 5, 2017 at 9:04 am #1725c_howdyParticipant…I can’t discontinue practice, but is there some other Christian path that I can jump onto with similar results…
Sorry, but I asked this already earlier, but I do it again:
Did Albert Fish and Anneliese Michel have something in common?
…X-ray of Fish’s pelvis and perineum…two dozen self-embedded needles…
Sorry, but could this be some special way of working with the Earth Force?

I wouldn’t ignore Rudolf Steiner?
For example in this respect Gurdjieff would be really a hypocrite.
In my opinion Steiner only realized too late that he’s on the wrong path.

August 5, 2017 at 1:16 pm #1728c_howdyParticipantSorry, but I have never been a Christian; I’ve been singing in various choirs, although my natural singing voice is somewhere between bass and tenor, but when I started more seriously with yoga I decided not to become a professional musician.
…spend my time in that restrictive community…
What particular community is that?
If I would be a Christian I would become a Catholic; it has that kind of splendor what a religion should have.
Sorry again for my broken English.

August 5, 2017 at 3:02 pm #1729rideforeverParticipantThere is Christian conditioning, and there is anti-Christian conditioning. Humans being empty inside try to fill themselves with conditioning, the particular type depends on the social currents they find themselves in, and they are washed downstream with them.
Jesus of Nazareth said to pray thus : “Our father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name”. Is it not beautiful ? Is it not wonderful ? Try to see the words outside of any fixed ideas, just the words nakedly. Do they not make your heart open ?
“They kingdom come, they will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven”.
Yes.
Jesus was a very human teacher, most appropriate for monkeys. Quite simple, friendly, and a little messy, yes perfect for the monkeys
There may be a fake church with a fake priest, and inside many fake disciples. But somewhere in there towards the back is a kind old lady who says to herself quite sincerely “Our father who art in Heaven”. She is able to use this place to find herself.
For some, even to go to the local church is quite a big effort humbly taken against a violent culture stabbing your heart. Such people should not be disturbed, they are already doing the best they can, and are quite brave.
Lead others to the Truth, once you yourself have entered Salvation.
And if you follow someone, make sure they have entered also.
Christianity does not place a lot of emphasis on energy because if you know not God you know nothing no matter that the whole galaxy’s energy is within you.
Is filing yourself with mystic energy really Laozi’s message ?
Filling yourself with energy you become powerful, perhaps arrogant.
But to choose to relinquish your self comes from a different intent.
Doesn’t it ?
Some say that they only want power at the beginning.
Usually they forget the ending.
An old story.
An old warning.Ashtavakra Gita :
“Becoming first intolerant of action,
then of excessive speech,
then of thought itself,
I come to be here.”August 5, 2017 at 6:04 pm #1730rideforeverParticipantI do love this :
August 6, 2017 at 7:51 pm #1732c_howdyParticipantChristian Rosenkreuz (also spelled Rosenkreutz and Christian Rose Cross) is the legendary, possibly allegorical, founder of the Rosicrucian Order (Order of the Rose Cross). He is presented in three manifestos that were published early in the 17th century.
From this one can quickly get impression how Rudolf Steiner approached this kind of things.
…if there were path that continued along the exact same stages as the healingDao …
There are not necessarily one-to-one correspondence, but many similarities anyway.

Theosophy and Rosicrucianism: Lecture XIV: Further Stages of Rosicrucian Traininghttp://wn.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA100/English/ANS1942/19070629p01.html
August 7, 2017 at 5:05 am #1733rideforeverParticipantJust looking at the Rosicrucian material, and yesterday I was looking at Damanhur centre in Italy another Christian mystic group.
But these groups seem to use a particular blending of sexual energy and perhaps other energies to develop yourself.
I suppose it is also similar to the Inner Alchemy of Qigong.
It’s all the same.
They harness the energies of the universe in one way or other to develop themselves. But in India they leave the universe. Shiva the destroyer means I remove the illusion of the entire universe, I die to it and reach the other side. It is vastly superior.
It is telling that the alchemizing / energy groups always have really long stories about everything, about creation and the fall of man, metaphysics. The universe is an endless story. Many seekers just go round and round and round with this crap. Getting from one stage to another. All stages of BS. And then they die with a head full of stories and a body full of energies.
Cessation is the only peace.
August 7, 2017 at 5:18 am #1734rideforeverParticipantAnd then there are those fables like King Midas who lusts after power and gold and ends up killing everyone, power mad. Becoming energy mad is just the same.
I don’t know if energy is the way to anything at all, perhaps it is just a sickness.
The way out involves surrender and humility.
Energy work can be used to clean the energy bodies …. but in previous times it was a hidden practice. Why hidden ? It is hidden because small minded people become addicted to it and miss the whole point of the path. Then they teach other people how to fail just like them promising big energies.
Probably a large part of the New Age is like this, they promise energy one way or another, and feeling big and powerful people continue and miss the exit to life.
The path is a high mountain path, on both sides are steep and seductive drops leading your doom. As you walk you will see people fall to their death.
Jesus said :
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
He is absolutely correct.
His words are so simple, and it is deceptive, he captures the truth very directly. Perhaps he is in fact an extremely high teacher, too high for the human-monkeys- all they understand is sex energy, dramatic stories of the “fall of man”, and stupid energies …. it corresponds to their idiocy.
We are low species. The possibility to attain is small.
August 7, 2017 at 5:21 am #1735rideforeverParticipantAnd some say the era of guilt conscience and redemption is over, that we are “free” and don’t need the Christian conditioning.
Really ? Then prove it.
All I see is destruction.
