Does anyone have a DVD they can recommend with the 5 healing animal practice on it? Another practice I need help with is the Fusion of the 5 Elements. I had a workshop on it and do have Mantak Chi’s book and a CD with the practice and still find the benefits ellusive. I am sure Michael’s CDs on it are excellent–not what I have. Could someone share their experience with the Fusion?

Regarding Five Animals:
Michael’s Qigong Fundamentals 1 DVD contains the Five Animals practice.
It is a 2 hour DVD that demonstrates how to do the movements
along with some theory behind it.Regarding Fusion 1:
Fusion is one of those practices that sometimes takes multiple
attempts at, before it sinks in . . . both with understanding
and with results. Michael’s Fusion 1 course (CD set) is a little
bit more of a gradual introduction to the material, and much
more approachable in the beginning I feel than trying to learn
it from the Fusion book (which contains a lot of advanced elements
that you could hold off on until later). . . so consequently
I would recommend his CD set on this.My first approach to Fusion 1 was not from Michael either,
and I couldn’t connect to the practice at all back then.
It was only later when I took Michael’s course on the subject
that it made sense and I could make a connection. The other key important ingredient in getting Fusion “to work”
is make sure you are really embodied. Fusion is fairly complex
and if you are not embodied, the practice can be very mental,
which can make a person feel disconnected.Ways to get deeper embodied include the grounding material
from Michael’s Qigong Fundamentals 3-4 course and/or
Master Chia’s Iron Shirt (if you have the book). It also
includes doing physical qigong movements, which you are already
doing. You mentioned you were doing the “Gods Play” form
from Lesser. In fact, the first part of the form contains
some internal imagery and energy connections that are straight
out of Fusion 1 (namely when you go through the 5 phase cycle).
Thus I recommend that when doing the form you really try to
internally feel the energetic connections of the five pearls. In total, I would recommend the following:
1. Get Michael’s Fusion of the Five Elements 1 CD audio set.
I imagine that if you go through his course, you will find
it much easier to connect inside and see noticeable changes.2. Try to connect in to the 5 pearls as you do the first half
of the “Gods Play” form that you are doing.3. Supplement your practices with additional physical grounding
exercises . . . either Qigong Fundamentals 3-4 course or
the Iron Shirt Qigong book by Master Chia.Best wishes,
