A student send me this link to a Ted Talks video on 3 lbs of micro orgs in our body, asking if this was something that Chinese medicine and ancient Taoists missed because they didn’t have a microscope.
My reply:
Taoists didn’t have microscopes, but they had the right principle – that the outer environment is also our inner environment. This is micro-cosmic / macro-cosmic Taoist theory.
The gut or enteric brain is controlled by the intelligence of the metal/gold and fire elements, via the spirit of the small and large intestines. If the micro-orgs are not controlled by them, they run wild and take over the internal eco-system.
The micro-orgs cannot escape the law of the five elements, it rules everything in the cosmos. So the key is still managing the five element cycles within us.
