Hello, I currently do not practice Healing Tao’s Healing Love, but i have a couple questions about it, and i have been practicing another sexual mediation. The other one, or it’s more like two in a row that go together, is the Deer Exercise for male sexual health followed by one that i think is called Return Sexual Energy to Repair the Brain, both of these from a CD of Ken Cohen’s. They’re done in the nude and are basically a cool draw exercise. But I won’t be asking questions about those exercises in particular, because I can’t expect you to know them…

When is are the Healing Love practices practiced? They seem ((and i’m speeking mostly from what i’ve read about Healing Love exercises, the methods i’ve worked with, and other similar methods I’ve read of)) to sort of be their own practice and I don’t see how they can easily be integrated into the same practice session as other practices. If I do other meditations or qigong or warm ups, i generally don’t feel horny or like i should be trying to sexually arouse myself, so doing them immediately aftrerwards doesn’t seem like it cultivates the sexual energy in the same way as doing them when you can easily be aroused. Of course you can do the microcosmic orbit afterward. I have read in other books about how after circulating sexual energy through the orbit once you can direct it a certain way as to produce more and have an erection again to continue doing the practice, so maybe i just have not been taught that, but i did not see this method described in the Awaken Healing Energy booklet (not book). When do you practice healing love in relation to other Healing Tao meditations?

My next question is about nocturnal emissions. Are there any Healing Tao methods for preventing them? I have read of special sleeping positions before, but did not exactly figure them out. Do you keep practicing as regular after you’ve had a nocturnal emission? It seems that practicing qigong soon after sex is usually not a good idea, and have of read a standard of 24 hours that works well for me, and Yang Jwing Ming said that especially microcosmic orbit and circulating sexual energy should not be practiced until 24 hours after ejaculation. It has also been said that spending our new energy on sex can lower our energy to states lower than before we started the exercises, and i suppose it’s true for nocturnal emissions too.

    Thank you
    Ryan

    Hello Axtryan

I answer you how I practise the healing love, but I am not shore if it is the best way though. I try anyway to answer your questions.

As I see it it is important to practise cold non-aroused sexual exercises from the healing love if you are using the big draw or any kind of seminal retention. So to practise the testikle breathing or testikle massage and others during seminal retention preriods should be done and the reason is that it helps you to not create stagnation, a problem that might arise if you do the big draw only. As I see it there is no reason why you not should include the cold non-aroused exercises into your other meditation session.

I often practise like this, but it wary:

    Abdominal breathing
    Inner smile
    Microcosmic orbit
    Testikle breathing
    More microcosmic orbit

    or

    Abdominal breathing
    Inner smile
    Seeing the reinbow aura (Yudelove)
    microcosmic orbit
fusion with pearl rotating in the mco
    turning the yin/yang waterweel (Yudelove)
Focusing on tan-tien and stilling the mind

You can also include some iron shirt into this.

It is possible to use aroused practises with big draw into the meditation sessions also in connection with the testikle breathing for instance. Generally though I do not do that, it seems not right to me.

So I practise the big draw naturally when I need it during my seminal retention periods or during my reduction of ejaculations. I have beel living in celibate during my whole time of practising in this system so I have realy no experiences with how to practise it when being with a woman. I do big draw when I masturbate or when I got morning erections during the night. You will sometimes got alot of them if you practise retentions, so you will be doing alot of big draws also 🙂 naturally and it is included into your life naturally. 🙂

I do follow the enery cycles of the year. Every winter I have a 100 day retention period. During the springtime I have ejaculations perhaps once a week. During the summer perhaps twice a month and during the other time of the years pehaps once a month.

Sometimes if I not have been doing the microcosmic orbit and the testikle breathing and the massage enough ( I guess that is the reason ), and if I have masturbated alot, I can’t get the erection down by using the big draw anly. Then I have to do the big draw while doing standing three and then it always works.

Noctunal emissions is a sign of weak jing. If you have lost alot if jing you will much easier get nocturnal emissions and loose even more. That cycle is good to stop by replenishing your Jing. There are many different methods for that. I myself almost never got nocturnal emissions anymore, it might happen pehaps once in two years or so. If it is on it’s way to happen, often during my 100 days of retention, I usually manage to do the bid draw instinctually before I loose the sperms, that happens even when I am at sleep. Perhaps I loose some litle sperm if I start the big draw late. During those period with a wery high sexual drive it is easy to dream wery sexual dreams and then you might loose some, but then you on the other hand also have alot of Jing, perhaps a bit more than you can handle so there is no big deal as I see it. At least not at my low level of practise.

It is good to do the big draw also after you have had an ejaculatory orgasm, then you save about half the energy you otherwaise have had lost after the ejaculation. If you do seminal retention with big draw it is also good to stop your urin when you pee in about the same frequency as your orgasmes in the prostata. That is to give it some exercises wich is loose when you not never ejaculates and you not want it to be weak.

If you not ejaculate so frequantly I see personally no reasons for stoping the microcosmic orbit for 24 hours after you have had ejaculated. But I might be wrong. Of course you will notice a drop in the energy level compared to if you not have ejaculated during your practise of mco. This will only increase your will to not ejaculate to much in the future and helps you with your retention. But I have noticed that sometimes I do not feel like doing the mco after an ejaculation either so perhaps the 24 hours rule make some sence. But I have never heard about that rule before, perhaps something to investigate for the future.

Let the Jing qi and shen be with you 🙂

    By the way.

I have been practising healing love for nine years now and I did forget that in the beginning I did include it more into my practise, to learn it.

What is recomended is to live in celibacy the first year when you learn the practise. To learn it by yourself is much easier than with a woman.

In the beginning you might add an exercise after the inner smile and some microcosmic orbiting.

Think about something that arouses you. Your sexy girlfriend or some woman you have seen newly will do! You do not necessarily do it to that extent that you have an erection, but if you want one that is fine to. Sit in the standard position on a chair and learn all the details in the bid draw, while you are feeling you aroused sexual energy going up the spine. Which is a bit like syrup, slow and dense energy. You will perhaps in the beginning feel qi going up the spine, but you have to find where the most of the Jing is, probably in the beginning you will have to work to get it moving and when the qi is in the head and some Jing to, you will probably have the most of the Jing at a much lower level at the spine or in the sacrum. It is not so beneficial to leave it there, it is much viser to realy work on it all the way up to the head, and of course down at the front and store it at the navel!

So if you are a total beginner, for those that are beginners, you might not need to be aroused at all before starting the exercises. Learn some of the details in the big draw and then when you know them one by one, put some of them together perhaps three at a time and then finally try to do all of them in the rigth timing after eachother.

YOu can exercises the pumps in the spine while lying down and wathing television. You can learn to distinquish betwean anus and the perineum and the testickles and the urogenital diafragm during nearly any time, when you are not totaly pre occupied with other things, during the day. Pease by pease all the exercises will add to your excelency in mastering the sexual practises.

When practising the bid draw with a woman it is said that four years in an intimate relationship is what is required ideally for mastery of this pracise. Then you of couse might want ot add circulation into eachother and other I guess wery nice pracises ass well.

During your sessions of iron shirt it is also beneficial to do standing against a wall with all the alignements involved and with practising of puching the pumps in the right sequeance from the bottom up, into the wall. That is excelent to do without any arousal just to exercise and get a hang of the big draw exercise.

All the Healing Tao practices produce better sex because they produce better intimacy/health. Most sexual vitality practices are about yin yang balance and jing/kidney strength. A girlfriend can also help speed this process and help you be more yin yang balanced. Keep it heart centered keep it grounded. I personally do not force arousal and then try to force this aroused jing around. Greater Orgasm is your birth right your inheritances if you open to receive it. Work with surrendering to the penetration of your divine nature. Let your girlfriend help you with surrendering. Take weakness as your greatest strength.

    ——
Those are interesting sequences, when you do the turning the yin/yang waterwheel, do you have your pearl in the dantien or do you dissolve it first?
I don’t do the big draw yet, but would like to learn. I’ve been researching different home study materials available but haven’t yet decided on which to begin with.

That makes sense, I had actually thought that you basically only ejaculated four times a year, between 100 day periods i’ve read you talk about, and i wondered why you didn’t just not ejaculate at all any more, but now it makes more sense to me that you go with the cycles of the seasons.

    ——
Noctunal emissions is a sign of weak jing.
    ——

I think I read that before, too, but forgot. I had looked at it as a sign of strong jing, like having too much so it comes out, but it makes sense that it’s a sign of weak jing because it’s not strong enough to be held in.

    ——
It is good to do the big draw also after you have had an ejaculatory orgasm, then you save about half the energy you otherwaise have had lost after the ejaculation

I have noticed before that the orbit can start flowing automatically after an ejaculation and it does seem that more energy is conserved that way.

    ——
If you not ejaculate so frequantly I see personally no reasons for stoping the microcosmic orbit for 24 hours after you have had ejaculated.
    ——

I think it is because then you keep trying to transmute jing to chi when there is not as much jing there as usual so your jing doesn’t get fully replenished when you do that. Of course it can sometimes flow automatically and that’s not somethign you’d want to stop, but sitting down to do the practice, especially intentionally transmuting jing to chi, within 24 hours was something Yang Jwing Ming advised against.

Thank you again for your detailed response, SD, and the info in your second post looks like it could be useful in the future.

I often stay in the dan-tien with the pearl for a moment and I think that it dissolves there. Actually I’m not shore, I think maybe that my pearl have a tendency to dissolve during my mco practise with it. But I’m not so shore, beacase the fusion is so new for me and it is different experiences every time! I think that if I have a strong feeling of the pearl left in tan-tien I realy like to circulate qi around the navel in both direction and then disolve the pearl, not shore. Those things have been done wery intuitevely and I haven’t had much teaching aobut them. That is my new me! Before the last years of practise I did read alot ahead before doing the practises, but nowdays I read sporadically and practise regularly but without as much theoreticall knowledge. I like it that way nowdays. Like the practise actually 🙂

Yes and actually on the summers I have been practising the nine jade dragons in the white tigress system and have included some herbs that streangthen the Jing, during that practises you are not allowed to do retention for 100 days, the combination is dangerous. Actually the white tigress system has a much wider perspective on how to ejaculate or not ejaculate. There are included retention and ejaculation practises as well. It is not either a system where you do retention more or less all the time as in Mantak Chias view!

Actually I did think as you before and was suprised when I red that it was weak Jing that was the cause. I accept it now and have felt that it make sence, just by noticing differences in how and when I want to ejaculate and compare it to which level my sexual energy is at. It seems to me that low energy Jing makes it easier to come (with ejaculation) earlier.

Well it sounds logical to me that you should not transmute Jing to chi if your Jing is low, better to replenish it first and wait with the mco. Sounds like a good idea to me, at my present understudning anyway.

Yes I hopw it will, the sexual practises have interested me alot and have changed me on a deeper level more than any other practises or ideas, I think. Hope you learn to enjoy them in your life to, and practise them as wisely as you can.

I still feel like I’m not do this practises the best possible way for me myself. But anyway I think I benefit from them and that they benefit my practises to.

    >>>When is are the Healing Love practices practiced?

Really, it’s whenever you feel called to do it, or it feels
right to you. I know that sounds like a cop out, but really
there are not any hard and fast rules. Hard and fast rules
are inflexible and not flowing, and the lifeforce is one that flows.
If you feel ambivalent, try practicing it at different times.
Try practicing while aroused, try practicing when not aroused,
try practicing while partially aroused. Experiment until you
find something that feels good to you. Once you do find something
that feels good to you, don’t be afraid to change to something else
if it starts to dry up on you. Situations and experiences change,
just like the lifeforce. The only real difference between practicing
non-aroused vs. aroused, is that hot aroused energy can be more
difficult to handle as it is more agitated and moves faster; having
difficulty there can be moderated through additional practice during
    less aroused states.

    >>>My next question is about nocturnal emissions.
    >>>Are there any Healing Tao methods for preventing them?

Often these are naturally reduced through the practice of
separating ejaculation from orgasm. If you have a sexual dream,
you can have an orgasm and not ejaculate, just as in waking life.

Moreover, you can separate ejaculation from the loss of sexual energy.
You can learn to strip the sexual energy away from the ejaculate, so
that even if you ejaculate, you don’t lose anything. In other words,
sexual energy-wise, you can learn to shoot “blanks”. In that case,
worrying about whether you ejaculate or not becomes less important.
In that latter case, the occasional ejaculation or nocturnal emission
can be another means to detoxify.

In other words, there’s a lot of stuff to play with that can move
    you beyond “ejaculate=bad, not ejaculate=good”.

    >>>Yang Jwing Ming said that especially microcosmic orbit
    >>>and circulating sexual energy should not be practiced
    >>>until 24 hours after ejaculation.

Enh. If it works for someone, fine, but I wouldn’t necessarily
feel locked into a particular rule. I mean, what if a married
couple is having regular sex and the man is ejaculating regularly
because they are trying to create a pregnancy–or maybe he is doing
so for some other purpose, i.e. healing for the woman or himself
perhaps. Then does that mean that the man should just not do
any orbit practice at all? I don’t think so.

BTW, Yang Jwing Ming is a lifelong martial artist who only much
later in life picked up qigong as a supplementary tool. I wouldn’t
necessarily look to him as an authority; he’s still locked into rigid
structural modes from his martial arts background.
