Medical and Spiritual Qigong (Chi Kung)

Hello !!
I am wondering how much qigong people actually do in actual reality. I am starting to feel that doing 1 hour practice a day is just maintenance, and that transform a great deal more needs to be done. A single movement done 9 times … but is this what people actually do ? Or do they do a single movement for an hour – for instance 5 hours for the 5 animals ? Long sessions.
?
then there is the need to refine and circulate the energy gathered via internal alchemy as well, very necessary to make sure power and virtue go together. It is true one can do small 10 minute refreshing sessions during the day to good effect but deep healing of old patterns does require a lot more, at least until a new inner equilibrium is established. When you add dream practice it is 24/7. Time conditions vary – sometimes easy sometimes lot to work on.
