Have any of you taken a course w/ Masahiro Ouchi? What can you tell me about him?
I took a pretty relaxed attitude two years ago when I took the Fundamentals course. Spent spare time during the day going to wineries, hiking, swimming and the nights talking to others, set up a great campfire.
I enjoyed myself quite a bit and learned a lot, but wonder if I should have been more concentrated? More ascetic?

Masahiro is on of the all time great people on the planet. He’s a tremendous person and a good teacher. He’s not that linear though, so pay attention and don’t be shy about asking questions. I took fusion with him and Marie Favorito (sic?) at dao mountain a few years ago. He was the yin to her yang.
But every buddy gets to be a SUCKER once in life.
If anything you would be better of just buying a book or tapes..

You have people praying for you and good choice of sign on name. A lot of readers will instantly put themselves under you. Subconsciously. Great tactic. Scare tactics too what with satin, devil and all of that. Well, you have raised a few words, poetry isn’t too bad. The rest of it though is phoney. Perhaps a double sign on, or maybe even a triple …. again.Rainbows!!

Jeez, I found the people great, a friendly international group who shared my interests in meditation, body work, taoism. Instruction was world class. The area was very pretty, the facilities and food fine. I’m really looking forward to going back.
I have one memory where I was getting particularly into the meditation, very deep. The class ended, people left, but I was in such a nice spot that kept sitting(lunch could wait). When I did get up Michael Winn was still there also in silent meditation. I’m not sure if it was particularly for my sake, but it meant something to me. He was certainly the opposite of an aloof guru.
One night we had a bonfire there. We ate smore fixing and drank local wine while a guitarist and drummer played and a beautiful girl danced hulas. Really a perfect evening. Most nights I’d stay up late chewing the fat w/ others. If they were vampires then sign me up to howl at the moon.
I’m sorry if you had a bad experience there, but I have to say the beginners class rocked.

For me I got what I needed there:) Sounds like you did too:) I loved every minute of it and would do it again in a heartbeat. I would like to get back there someday and continue to enjoy meeting fascinating people, like you, and others from here and folks that aren’t here posting. That was, for me, the best part. The formulas are the formulas and we all work things out in our own way inevetiably in our own time, Tao willing 🙂
I would love to be sitting around a fire with everyone! perhaps there might be an opportunity in the future 😉
