To compensate for my own stupidity in not using a free airline ticket I’ve had,
I am turning it into a Forum Contest to reward for those posting here on the forum.It is a US Airways ticket valid within the 51 states on any US AIR or America West flight.
Catch #1: you must complete travel by March 20.
Catch #2: the airlines will only book these seats if they are available in the frequent flyer category.
And there are mighty few of those.How to get around Catch #2: book fligihts (returning before or on March 20) to your destination, even if they are NOT the dates or times you want. Then show up BEFORE the ticketed departure or return date and get on standby on any flight. There are usually lots of empty seats that they will not convert to mileage seats.
So before you email me at winn AT healingdao.com and ask for the ticket, call US AIR and see if they fly to where you want to go and if you can book travel in this category on dates that could be made to work for you (i.e. you have flexibility to go standby).
The first person who can use the ticket will get it. Ties will be broken by giving it to the forum poster with the MOST posts.
I will email you the ticket number so you can make your reservation (after you’ve ascertained it do-able).
Then I will mail the airline free ticket to you and you have to show up early at the airport before your flight to convert it into a boarding pass.Hope someone will redeem my stupidity.
