I am having this problem as well although I am unable to clearly track which organs are doing what so I work on all, but certainly Liver-Heart-Earth seems to bring relief. I did some Tao Yin for the kidneys and that also helped a lot. I guess that means my lungs are ok though !!!
I got some channel opening from Pan Gu (the one MW does on youtube) and I just ordered the book, and also Deep Earth pulsing is very good – I extend the hand movements up so that they go all the way to the head; there was also Mantak Chia info about opening the Thrusting Channels (you can find it on the internet – it takes several weeks of preparation).
I am also doing Dissolving practice from BKF. Which is effective but takes time and skill. I have managed to clear large blockages from the left side and started on the right today. It seems quite powerful working directly on blocked areas.
I was just reading in “Healing With Wholefoods” that too much pleasure seeking (food/sex/etc..) is also Liver Imbalance I have radically changed those things in the last few weeks, all for the better. I don’t think I could work effectively on my liver if I kept contact with society’s negative influences. And I do not think it is easy to find inner harmony and outer harmony in this society, you have to come up with your own way.
And I also get a lot of relief from Inner Smile, but doesn’t seem permanent. I enter a deep and warm state though and there is something in general about flowing with life that I feel is very important, you co-operate with the flow of life, neither having too much desire or too much fear, life is taking you for a ride and you accept.
Deep Healing Qigong is very good alround but I cannot say clearly what the effect is on these matters, but it is powerful stuff. The golden sphere usually takes itself into the liver.
I tried Marie Favorito’s Fusion I but lost my centre so backburnering that.
Primordial I do every day – the inventor said it cured his liver problems, in fact I was doing it in a set of 4, but I can’t do that any more.
It seems clear to me that working with a blocked channel is severely impairing the work, so I try to at least partially clear it before sessions. For me the outer half of the right channel is blocked from top to bottom, splitting the right eye. Probably comes from a car accident or other trauma buried in the blockages. When I “dissolve” it it can be very painful as the memories arise.
You can do the MCO on the right and left, it does something.
I just had some insight (or an idea anyway) into the origin of the Liver problems. Although I can get relief with a practice here and there, what is the origin ? Somehow I think a different attitude to life is necessary or the imbalances will continue.
Is it a coincidence that the Deep Earth Pulsing is on the Sexual Vitality DVD ? Perhaps not, maybe sexuality is really at the root of the Liver imbalance.
Back in the 70s and 80s people were more sexy, meaning they had a glow about them. They were unashamed and just enjoying feeling their own energy. It was a great period. Today people seem so cold, so hard, so bitter, so violent. Strange.
Anyway a memory popped into my head about the TV show Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, from back in the day, and it was quite a sexy show. They had some sexy disco dancing, gyrating pelvises, and hugging and shmoozing. Innocently and fun. I don’t think you can find that these days.
People have overdeveloped their mind, and mind is trying to control all the time. Trying to know. But we don’t really know. We are utterly dependent on a trillion things to support our life. From the Sun, gravity, the air, our breathing … any of these disappear and it’s over.
An attitude of trust, co-operation, of allowing, of enjoying your sexual energy glowing inside you, of fun … I this could be very helpful.
I might try a bit more sexual vitality and tao yin and see the effect on the Liver issues.
On my continuing quest, I have been doing some acupressure on particular meridiens on the blocked side using a little guide. Now I don’t use my hands I am dissolving the pressure points (a la BKF Opening the Energy Gates) and it seems quite effective. Amazing actually. I have been learning a lot about nei gung’ing the energy body, wow starting to feel a little jedi !
Pan Gu the book arrived by Wenwei Ou. It is simple and clear takes about 10 minutes and seems quite effective as well.
The sexual stuff did not work.
