I found breathing practices and chi Gong helpfull to kick of the process instead of going into it with meditation right off the bat. Foundamentals like five animal and six healing sounds as well as ocean breathing can help get you to a state that will help deepen your experience of the micro cosmic orbit. Have you had a live transmission of the orbit practice? If not I would recommend it. So to sum that up use the “yang” movement of chi gong to support your sitting “yin” meditation. You get the best of both worlds.

Focusing on the individual centers is the closest I get, but then I reached a very real and deep feeling in these centers, these feelings are very physical not just energetically.
When my heart started to become alive, I was afraid I had a physical heart disorder, so it might give some inconvenience, but I learned that this is how my heart is talking. One of the techniques that might work for you is to cut the orbit in two halves, instead of using front and back as one loop, you bring the central channel into your practice, you can experiment see what might work for you, making the figure 8 loop, or going up in the central channel, going down the front and back channel or vice versa, doing it simultaneously or separate, first central and front, later on central and back etc.
Since the back channel is the fire channel, yin people tend to have more problems in the back.My centers are very expanded and active in the front, I am now learning to integrate the back part of it into it.
Since my heart is the strongest, I focus on that again, and when I deeply relax, a lot of cold is coming out of the back of the heart, giving deep shivers in my back, so my practice is no longer focused on the front so much, because that works by itself, but on my back parts.
What I am getting so far now, is a very expanded heart in the front, and a more dense expansion on my back, which I feel exactly as a chacra tube/wheel, breathing through this tunnel back and forward, the back part starts to have a painful contraction which expands to the back of my neck and jade pillow, so that is my work for now. Breathing is always a very good way to go through pain and contractions.
And since I am more yin, I am moving slow, but what I win is mine and deep, so if you ask me again in 10 years I will have more things to share 😉April 4, 2008 at 1:08 am #27949StevenModeratorThanks for sharing your perspective Wendy.
It’s interesting to hear from your point of view.I’m a water person–my five element makeup is
almost all water and wood, with wood a very close
second to water–so as a result I have a lot
of issues with fire and the heart. Hence my
accumulation of “fire techniques” that I posted
awhile ago.I understand the whole “cold” coming out of the
heart situation. I’ve experienced it quite often
myself. It tends to amplify feelings of loneliness
and then extinguish even more heart fire. Then
I get blockages in my upper back and neck as chi gets
stuck there. I can usually remove the blockage, but
not without a lot of work. As to the fire channel itself,
it’s much much harder to feel the flow there for
me than it is in the water channel (which usually feels
quite strong)–although I do have to say that
as time has gone on, I’ve gotten a *little* better with it.I understand the overheating thing too.
Overheating is sort of my MO, but then again,
at least in my case, my overheating is
caused by too much chi rising up–being a mental type.Grounding, and connecting deep into the earth have
been godsends for me.At any rate, not intending to sidetrack the discussion
too much, just wanted to thank you for touching upon
some key things . . .Steven

I suppose the Innersmile is doing fine. I feel more relaxed. Slow. The stuck energy is taking its time to melt and getting alive again, but I knew it. Sometimes I’m feeling odd, like the body is wrong, not harmonic, but I keep being caring and loving.
Sometimes I sit on a chair, watch through the front window, letting time pass by. Not good for the business, though 🙂 But not ashamed! 🙂April 4, 2008 at 1:16 pm #27953Swedich DragonParticipantHello Wendy
It sounds like you have found what suits you and that greate. I suspect that everybody have a certain energy body and different methods suits different people.
In did you feel wery in touch with your heart and it is possible to feel your heart centeness in your answers on this site. That way I think it always is sweat to read your posts. You always seems to get right on the spot with your answers and also seems to not like to go into to much intelectual stuff, to far away from your own heart.
As I see your heart centerdness.
