    he ahsnt told me he’s coming. perhaps he’s too occupied, doesn’t want a companion, or simply doesn’t like me. hope he has a good trip. the chicks where i am are hotter.

    I consider these two categories totally specious and mis-described.

    shen (hsien) taoists, specifically “School of Interior Gods” alchemists are seeking spiritual immortality, not to live physiclaly forever. That is just kung-fu novel take on it. Time to read deeper texts.

    wu-wei does not mean “non-actioni”. It means, according top classical chinese scholars Roger Ames and Tom Hall in their Daodejing: A Philosophical Translation, : “no coercive action”.

    Don’t fool yourself. Sitting in quiet contemplation of your navel, or practicing “letting go” is taking an action. Every type of meditation is an action that has effects.
