Is IQ the modern scientific attempt to measure spirit? Curious to hear what people think about the IQ concept in relation to shen theory. I took an online IQ test and felt like I was forcing my conciousness through a tiny aperture, seemed like a ridiculous way to measure general awareness/intelligence.
Two different things. When the brain is energized with qi, IQ goes up because brain functions better just as muscles function better with more qi. Shen is totally different.
Yeah, I agree with you. It seems to me like IQ testing tests a very small area of possible conciousness.
Mostly I’m just complaining because I find it dismal that in our society we put so much emphasis on that small area of mind and repress so much else.
Ingo Swann: the only virtue of high IQ score is your ability to perform well in such test, and not your intelligence or anything else. He derives this from word definitions, in Secrets of power, irva.org .
