Hi all,
I’m practicing DHQ in order to deal with a condition that I believe has significant karmic and ancestral elements. My understanding is that the alchemical formula in the last section of the practice is the part that has some potential to address the karmic and ancestral factors. Is there some way to direct the healing effect toward these karmic and ancestral factors? Or should I assume that just by doing the practice that they will be mitigated? Regarding this, Michael writes that it “might do the trick”. How might one structure a trial of this practice in order to see if it will address the condition? (e.g. how long should I give it?)
thanks,
elephant
In brief:
No. It’s the bathing sequence between sun and earth in the middle of the form that is most potent for these type of issues. [Sidebar: and for those that know the “new advanced version” taught live but not on the DVD, the 5 Sacred Directions segment at the beginning.]
The more you can successfully empty your consciousness into the sun and the earth, the more this potent segment will be, and the more effective it will be. How long it takes will depend on how successfully you empty your consciousness into the sun and the earth . . . positive results could be arise fast–even one session–but it could also be months/year of time of regular practice before your monkey mind gets out of the way and you are actually doing the practice rather than going through the motions.
ALL the parts of the form are highly potent; they just deal with and heal different issues. Doing all of the form covers all bases, so that nothing is missed.
