Hello Friends!
I must apologize for waiting so long to issue a new installment of my newsletter, Ming Ren Gong! I have been so inspired by my personal experience of the the current super-conjunction that I just had to get an update out while the chi was fresh and the information current. 🙂 But first – a poem:
Some say that parting or living apart,
wilt the flower of love.
But living or leaving I know that our parts
are seen as a whole from above. We hold hands no grasping no matter how far
fate flings us or pulls us or tickles our stars,
Love is a vessel unmeasurably large,
I know it – and I means my heart.Every Time’s a Special Time, But Some are More Special Than Others (Venus/Jupiter Transit)
I would like to alert my newsletter readers to a special transit we are currently experiencing. Now is an unusual time due to the South Node’s weird and transcendent hosting of the Sun, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus in the sign of Taurus (Mercury ruling a Trined Saturn in VIrgo.) Venus transits are usually given little attention due to their short duration but (now retrograde) Venus is going to bless the heck out of this planet from now until July 31st.
Starting a couple weeks ago and lasting through the 31st the time is particularly sweet for acquiring or creating:
Furniture
Jewelry
Plants
Art in general
Food (try spices)
Knowledge
Relationships and PartnersI recommend speculation in art in particular. Profits will be spectacular and money-making is a blessed activity in general during this two month period.
It is also a special time for discovering “new” teachers and teachings, so I advise staying OPEN and being CURIOUS!
Be ready to let things go easily though, as the south node always implies “TAKE IT AND/OR LEAVE IT” opportunities.
Otherwise, feel free to categorize and plan around the next two months being among the most lucky, loving, auspicious months you ever live. I think it’s that strong of a transit. (This is partially because we live in such materialistic yet often ungrounded cultures and Venus knows how to handle this, by anchoring everything you want and everything you need everywhere you need it to be.)
Esoteric Expansion Structures
For those who savor the deep earth grounding that comes from seeing structures from different wisdom traditions come together I’ll share a recent discovery with you.
There is an “expansion triangle” connecting the Western/Vedic fire signs of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Sagittarius is known as the natural house of expansion, ruling the most manifestly expansive human experiences-spirituality, universities, world travel. Leo as “9th house from the 9th house” rules more hidden forms of expansion-the soul force released when we party, perform, or birth creative projects. Most esoteric “9th from 9th from 9th” house, Aries, is the sign of the human body where every breath is a blessed expansion of human essence/experience.
In Nine House Feng Shui, the same numbers one, five, and nine form a hidden “axis” down the center of the “magic square,” representing personal process, balance, and fame. House nine in both systems represents expansion. House one in both represents personal process. But where Vedas say “party!” the Chinese say “Earth.” I think this is because the Chinese think Earth’s purpose is to be a perfect place to party! (And in an esoteric inversion, I suspect the ancient Chinese knew that strong earth is the secret to being cool at parties.)
New Price Structure
Speaking of reasons to celebrate, I have now switched to a dual price structure, one hour Vedic Astrology Readings (digitally recorded and over the phone) are now either $200 or FREE – your choice. I hope this opens up many new options and relationships to destiny, spending, and receiving for us all! ***Please forward to friends and family!***
Chi,
Patrick

828-333-4699* Ming Ren Gong is a Chinese phrase which I invented and has three parts: “Gong” means skill, “Ren” means unconditional love (roughly, though the term was coined by ancient Taoist master Mo Tzu as part of sophisticated teachings on the nature of spiritual loving,) and “Ming,” which translates as “worldly destiny.” “Skill with unconditionally loving one’s worldly destiny” or “skill with unconditional loving AS one’s worldly destiny” seem to me as appropriate descriptions as any for what I think the essence of activities like astrology and feng shui are all about.
