This is a building practice. A work out. Part of efford to strenghtening the body.
It is a nice check for all iron shirt practice. If one cannot pull it, one should not practise actice iron shirt practice. I one can, there are still no gourantees. Me thinking loud regarding my past practice.
But then I also did practices the way I would not do them now. And had full data. Too dangerous, too wrong or too stupid. And this just structure wise.
Iron shirt is an energy exercise.

may one hand feel aura layer of other hand (palm points) (that establishes contact)
may that hand (that feels) (when in contact/layer) push the other hand (palm point of feeling hand pushes/ expands the energy egg/ leads the other hand) away (only as far as contact remains, no stress induced or efford/energy thrown away)
reverse activity: pull/suck back (to original position)

place palm point in front of energy gate of microcosmic orbit
push with energy point of microcosmic orbit the palm away
pull it back
Other points can be joints, cavities, organs, bones, all skin, sense organs.
Cavities usually are joints. There are some differences.
Shoulder nest is cavity between shoulder joint and ribs. It is one cavity that Kumar emphasizes and not shoulder joint (that is emphasized in bone breathing). There is also heart, solar, midrif that are not joints. Heart connect shoulder nest/cavity.
