Hello everyone,
I just wanted to sort out the confusion between all the theories of where Daoist alchemy originated from. I know that these formulas are said to originate from Lu Dong Bin, but what about before that. Michael said something about the formulas originating from Mu 70,000 years ago, maybe you can explain this theory Michael? Just wondering if anyone could share their knowledge of this, so that we may all learn.

It might be useful to read Mircea Eliade’s survey of the origins of alchemy globally,
which he identifies as much older than any human organized religion.
And he says the Chinese culture seems to be the best surviving example of a horizontally and vertically integrated example of myth and practical function – all evolved from ancient alchemical archetypes.
The Forge and the Crucible : The Origins and Structure of Alchemy
available on amazon.
Eliade is considered one of the greatest scholars on comparative religion. Got interested practicing yoga in India as a young man. From Rumania.
When you read his work, you can feel confident when you explore alchemy – east or west or north or south – that you are returning to the root of human consciousness. The root is what determines the fruit.

I’ve read parts of
“The Golden FLower”
“The BOok of Balance and Harmony”
“THe Sirius Mystery”
and text from “Emerald Cloister Melchezedek”
all of which suggest a Sirian Vegan Lyran connection involving nonphysical consiousness energy fields and ET’s aware of them
