‘Wild Things Are’ Grabs #1 Spot; ‘Paranormal’ Continues Surprising Run
Phil ContrinoSunday, October 18
Despite mixed audience reactions, Where the Wild Things Are was able to easily grab the top spot this weekend with an estimated take of $32.47 million. Meanwhile, Paranormal Activity continued its surprising run by adding a healthy haul of $20.16 million.
Paranormal Activity expands to around 2,000 locations next weekend and it will face off against Saw VI for the attention of horror enthusiasts. The word-of-mouth hit may be the film that finally derails the lucrative Saw franchise.
Law Abiding Citizen posted a strong debut in second place. The Overture release was able to grab an estimated $21.25 million, which gives the young distributor its highest opening weekend.
The Stepfather debuted with a respectable $12.3 million. According to Sony, 54 percent of the audience was female and 55 percent was under 21.
Overall box office receipts this weekend should equal around $140 million, which represents a 39.5 percent increase over the same weekend last year. 2009’s total domestic haul is now 7.8 percent of 2008’s at the exact same point in the year.

Maybe you can solve the physics problem
by creating a “Generalized Twistor Theory”
based on lines in HP^n, namely quaternionic projective space.Just a thought ;0

I’m just referring to Healing Tao Philosophy Forum.
The Healing Tao forum is actually THREE forums . . .
one called “General”, one called “Philosophy”, and one
called “Practice”.To access the philosophy forum, just click on the word
“Philosophy” at the top of this forum (which is the General Forum). To switch between the forums, just click either “General”,
“Philosophy”, or “Practice”.S
October 27, 2009 at 2:31 pm #32411StevenModeratorOH, I see. You are still using the old version of the Forum.
Michael updated this a few years ago.Now the forum is split into 3 subforums depending on topic.
“General”, “Philosophy”, and “Practice”.You should switch to using the newer version.
Not only is it nicer to have the three forums separated,
but sometimes if you post messages to the OLD version of
the forum, THEY DO NOT APPEAR ON THE NEW ONE–and so
people don’t see that you’ve made a post. Sometimes they
will appear, but only several days later; sometimes they
never appear. So for all these reasons, you should switch to the modern version.
http://forum.healingdao.com/general/
will take you to the General Forum, and by clicking on
“Philosophy” or “Practice” at the top, it switches to
the Philosophy or Practices Forums.Check it out.
