Plants Can Sing Complex Music – Damanhur experiment

I was very inspired by Damanhur at the beginning of December when I was ill in bed ruing Western life. It’s a fantastic place.

But … I also read that the founder (Falcao) would take the women on journeys in his caravan and have sex with all of them, he called it a spiritual induction. And some of them were married or pregnant. He died a couple of years ago.

Another thing was that there is a series of meditations that are encouraged upon members, and if you don’t partake you have to do extra hours of work. I believe the meditations are particular to Damanhur. So it’s not a free place.

They have built incredible temples there, including the Temple of Humankind … really amazing things.

All that information put me off … but it is also true that outside in the so-called ‘real’ world many things are also forced upon you.

I read the “first book of the initiate”, the founders message to new members, which was interesting and inspiring – he talked a lot about bringing the divine to earth through action – but also I felt he hadn’t really integrated everything inside him, he didn’t know how to be in the world and in the divine at the same time.
