I have been playing with this technology of binaural recordings. This group at Centerpointe.com has put out a graded sequence of recordings along with study material to supply a platform into witnessing our beliefs and regaining more conscious participation in how we experience ourselves and respond to our relationship in the world.
It is mostly head based- brain based more than abstract intellectually based- but I am having good results entering and sustaining myself in the center while examining the beliefs that stimulate emotions that pull me out.
I can’t quite put it into the context of my alchemical chi kung development but experientially it feels like a needed complementary cultivation.
Any experiences or opinions? Barry

This may help a shift to listening from the corpus callosum, the link point between the left and right brain.
The problem that I see eventually coming up is the transference fo the outer mechanical stimulation-response to one that is internalized as free will. Maybe your study program overcomes that issue, I cannot say. At some point the mind figures out the game and your resistant areas of consciousness are no longer fooled by the head process – the resistant shen simply hide elsewhere, they seek frequencies that are not controlled by the brain machine. Same problem happens with subliminal advertising/suggestions – they work in the beginning, but eventually lose their potency.
The listening technology that I have found to be the most sophisticated works differently – the Electronic Ear developed by Alfred Tomatis, a french scientist. His work, developed over fifty eyars, is based on individual testing to find out which frequencies have been shut out of your listening process, usually by traumas/issues in childhood with parents, etc.
They have mapped this out. The process is more expensive than simply buying a device, because you need someone skilled enough to intterpret the listening test and customize a listening sequence for you. You listen through a special device that filters high frequency Mozart music – to help you retrain to listen to the frequencies that you have shut out.
This technology is well proven, has helped autistic children snap back to normal functioning, and on the other end of the spectrum helps singers improve their voice range (because you cannot sing a note if you cannot hear it. Others have used to eliminate dyslexia and emotional traumas. I think it is similar to adjusting the eight extra vesells at the sonic level (shen).
There are listening centers in Phoenix and Toronto, and others practitioners scattered around the country.
I dont’ have the site bookmarked, but easy to google.

All I can afford is to hum to my self and do chi kung/inner alchemie. The simple life has kept me dependant on my self. I do dream of a house that I can have a garden and some outer Alchemie toys. Thank you for the tip.

I did the ‘Recognitions’ program with Synchronicity Foundation for some years – did all 8 stages, but let it go there. I found it good up to a point. As Michael pointed out in his response there is a point at which effectiveness declines. More than that I found the emphasis on music or ocean sounds etc wwas blotting out one’s own subtle messages and processes. Although the taoist practices take more work to establish I like the feeling of attunement to earth and other sources of energy (moon, planets, sun, stars etc). I like the independence of the taoist system – reliance on nature. The frequencies one is attuning to are so varied – not just one band, one ‘radio’ station. On a given day I might need a big dose of grounding-out and heavy energies via chi gung/tai chi then sit down and have lots of higher frequencies coming in. Independence is a big plus.
