Out line for the 40 days of cultivating a healthy self love.
You can do this sitting or standing. Take your hands, one on top of the other and lay them over your heart. Take a few calming breaths to relax and get in touch with your self. In this relaxed state, imagine gold light gently descending from the sky down through the crown of your head, bathing your pineal gland in gold.
Continue to imaging the gold gently descending down to your thymus gland which lies on the breast bone, and continue to see the gold light gently swirling around your heart. When you have this wonderful image set in your minds eye, begin to speak to yourself some words of loving yourself. Your words may change from day to day, but keep it simple. Some suggestions are:
I unconditionally love myself.
I claim my birthright to completely and unconditionally love myself.
I deeply and completely love myself.
I am open to my loving myself in a healthy and joyful way.
I receive my love for myself right now.
Be creative and use what works for you, but keep it simple. This sacred moment can last from one minute, to however long you wish, but do it at least once a day. After saying your self love affirmation, take a moment to feel it. Feel something from your heart center. Be open to what emotions may come up for you. It may be difficult at first to do this. You may not believe yourself, or it may feel so good it makes you smile. If for some reason you have a hard time believing yourself, as the old saying goes, fake it til you make it. Feel free to journal your experiences and see what changes take place.
Why 40 days? 40 days is a time of transformation. This number has astrological significance and it shows up in the bible over and over again in stories of major transformations. It is also related to keeping promises. Can we keep a promise to ourselves to bring in our body/mind a healthy self love?
Michelles personal story:Why am I doing this? I thought of this for myself because I have been studying the law of attraction for 3 years, with limited success. But I am an optimist. I have come to find through my studies that self love is the golden key. We can use all the technology in the world of affirmative prayer and the law of attraction, but without a healthy embodied self love, our efforts to co-create will be much more limited. I am also moved by the holographic law (as above, so below) (as within so without). Can you imagine what our world will be like when we all walk this earth with a healthy self love?
I know this is true, but personally I know that I am blocked. I intellectually know about self love, and I thought I had it, but soon realized I was fooling myself. I know in my heart that the way I experience my life will profoundly change when I can embody a healthy self love. I believe that 40 days of declaring self love and bringing it into the deepest part of my soul will change my vibration to a healthier level. I thought it would be great to include as many Shepherdstown people as possible, and then after 40 days, get together in a large town meeting and tell stories and compare notes. I know we will lift each other up. Also, there is power in more people doing this at the same time. I am excited for us all, and will announce where and when we will meet sometime in mid March to share our experiences.

of the Inner Smile meditation, which is a means
of releasing inner conflict and struggle. It increases
inner harmony and thus *reduces* selfishness, as the
imagined need to cast yourself above others no longer
becomes necessary for internal happiness. See Michael’s
Inner Smile E-book for more information on this . . . S -
