Can someone please explain how they connect with the planets in Greatest Kan and Li?
I have been listening to the CD course and was with everything up through this formula but don’t understand how you are supposed to feel a planet.
The elements were easy but the CD starts out at disc 1 without any explanation of how to feel these things just telloing you to do it.
Several CD’s later Winn suggests that people may have known about the planets because of innate telepathy at some point and suggests that their tones and energies were saved in statue and animal forms in China.
This still doesn’t explain what you are supposed to do with them though. All I get from Venus is that it’s supposed to be a ball of metal chi out in space. How are you supposed to feel that? What makes it different from any other metal chi ball?
I have seen pictures of Venus but that’s just a picture.

I just look at the thing (e.g. planet, tree, hot woman), and notice how I feel. At first I have to look more at the things and feel a channel open up between us. Then, once the connection has been made, I focus more on my feelings inside me, so I don’t lose my center to it. Then, there is a balancing between attention to the thing and to me.
So, I suggest not using pictures or thoughts, but just develop your own experience.

with the water in lesser kan and li there is cool, wet, blue, sexual, and different channels in the body that start feeling kindof cool..
in greater kan and li it’s a bit of a strect, but when Winn says that the moon is metal + water and you imagine the sun and moon inside of you, that’s doable becuase you see them all thetime and have a sort of sense for them..
but then in Greater Kan and Li, just out of the blue you are supposed to start doing that with planets..
Well for one thing I had always been told Venus was warm and moist..
not cool and dry like metal..
For another I’ve never seen Venus.. so feeling myself as Venus basically leaves me as a big white metal chi ball floating in space..How is that any different form any other metal chi ball?
Can someone please explain?

there are many methods. If you use the planets in the six healing sounds it works in a similiar way.
From a macro view, the universe is one unified whole, so the organ is already connected to the planet, it corresponds to it, we need to increase our awareness of this existing connection.
One method is to put your mind/Yi/attention in the sky at the planet and inhale the enrgy into the organ and exhale it in the organ, inhale draws in and exhale collects it there. Do this a few times and then just keep most of your mind in the organ and a little awareness with the planet. Eventually you will beware of the planet automatically.
hope this helps,

I have no idea how to feel a white metal planet that I was told is warm and moist in astrology not cool and dry..
I mean what are you guys “feeling” when you do this? a big white cloud ball?
It never says in the cd to go find the planet in the sky and try to beam yourself to it or anything..
All I am saying is what are you supposed to be feeling? it can’t just be metal chi, that would just be metal chi..

So just try it for a few months and let us know.

It is easier in Winn’s live classes as he draws down the energies into the room. So, on the tape when he says “feel this…”, that feeling is very present in the room in which he is teaching. So, that is one difficulty in learning these skills by tape.
You can find out where Venus and Mars are in the sky using a variety of internet sites.
My sense is you are projecting ideas of what you should feel, but instead should take the time to be receptive to what is. This requires much quieting of the mind.
These “formulae” are for a lifetime of learning. I am 8 years into the Healing Dao alchemy and am just starting to get a good sense of Sun, Moon and Earth. Perhaps you are rushing yourself along a bit?

Bring your mind to a planet, a picture is a good instrument to connect with one. Wait without forcing and feel where it starts to tingle or getting a feeling of pressure on your skull. Use that for a while until you can resonate with it easily, after that you connect from your skull to the connected organ, or you let it flow by itself without using the mind at all.
I have postcards of the planets and star systems hanging, I have Jupiter right in front of me when at my computer and it just takes split seconds to feel a hot spot on my skull. Every planet is related to a particular part on the skull, that is part of the cosmic healing but you can use your own mapping as well.
We are born in a ‘visual’ society, so use the pictures and maps of planets, forget the moist, dry, hot whatever because it puzzles you too much, let the ‘visual’ work on your skull.
Btw better not forcing planets, it could give you more than you can eat, it is best to keep an open receptive not manipulative attitude towards planets. That is why it is best to clear out as much emotional garbage in the basic and fusion, because once you let planets stirr in the dirt you might get big shit, but maybe that is why you are not able to access planets yet, maybe your system is ‘protecting’ you from the big guys.So again don’t force it, and follow what is, if you don’t feel a natural connection with them you are not ready to digest them. I don’t talk with my index finger up but with care and concern.
Don’t eat what you can’t digest, I know what I am talking about.Start to work with Venus because that seems the planet you can relate with, and maybe you can tell us where you feel Venus on your skull…
August 24, 2006 at 12:09 pm #16885digdugParticipantI hope no one gets the wrong idea here.. I really enjoy the cds and have had some nice pleasurable results from Kan and Li, but this planet thing is really irritating..
I am just asking a very SIMPLE question..
What do YOU feel when you do a planet and how do you know what to feel?
For instance, if you told me that actual contact with a planet requires months of meditation in a dark room sensing in its general direction that would make sense..
I envision isolated monks tracing out vague images and tones of a planet over centuries
finally an impression would come through or something..
but looking at a picture and pretending I feel a planet does not..
how pampered! who said anyone had a picture to “pretend” with?
I mean, are there models of the planets from ancient china with rings and so forth?
that would be sensible but I highly doubt it..
But more to the point, and INTELLIGENCE, if you’ve done this feel free to respond,
WHAT ARE YOU SENSING.. i mean the elements and water and fire sun lake exercises are clear enough.. how are you sensing mars or the sun? via a picture in a book?
that’s lame! who said anybody had a picture? how did the sages do this without them for however many thousands of years this was supposed to be going on?
??
August 24, 2006 at 12:13 pm #16887digdugParticipantHow did any astrological teachings know about planets?
how did modern western astrology or eastern hindu come up with tones and energies for planets..
as far as I know both Euopean and Indian (Hindu) astrology say Venus is warm and moist and vaginal..
not cool and dry
Is there any proof of any of these systems? where did they come from and why is Venus supposed to be metal now?
Some vague “imagined” impression that conforms to what you’ve already imposed on it while you visualize a picture you saw in an astronomy book is just weak.
August 24, 2006 at 12:20 pm #16889PeroParticipantI can`t really answer you questions, since Kan and Li is still way beyond me (though there is some of it in Michael`s inner smile already?). However, what you might feel could be completely different than what others feel. It may not be even describable (?). Though I guess it could help you at the begining, to know what others feel.
Also, connection develops with practice. Were you able to connect with organs when you started as well as you (should be) are now?
But if I may ask, how long have you been involved in these (HT or other maybe) practices?
