Recently MW posted an article about Taoism being the returning of students to their daily lives. And yesterday I was reading something about Returning to your beast, meaning the animal part of you.
The animal part of you is the healthy animal (not the mind’s ideas) …. the healthy animal that is responsible for 99% of your functioning but that “you” (the mind) does not seem to notice.
That animal is healthy and strong, at least at present (until transgenderism takes root). The resistance to LGBT changes in society is the recognition that the ego is trying to infect it’s disease into the body level of people which may be fatal to the society.
Anyway, there is an animal there and we can be one with it, accept and respect it’s hairy smelly instinctive strength. It is wondeful, and magical.
Everything Real is magical … and the only thing that is not is the excursion into the ego’s fake imagination.
Hence returning to your life is like returning to your animal. And there is much work to be done with your animal, today I was silk-reeling which is a pretty big practice, becoming one. I have never felt a practice that integrates the body like this.
Encountering one’s animal is great, there my passion and strength lie.
Within my beast is my passion, strength and reason.
This one I try so hard to hide is what I really am.
And it is magic, because reality is magic.
