*Jonathon, I told you to first practice spinal breathing and make sure that the spine to the baihui are kept open so that when you circulae your energy there won't be any problems. Also, open the front conception vessel by guiding the breath from your nose to the dantian down it and out of your nose again from your dantian. Visualize and actualize the good qi coming in and bad qi going out.
You can try another technique that clears the front too. It invloves bringing heavenly qi from the baihui down to dantian. Just take your hands, bring them up over the head palms facing downward to the ground, with fingers about half a foot apart. Slowly guide the pure qi from heaven, you may visualize it as warm and electric violet, guide t down slowly with your hands, tongue touching palate, all the way to the dantian. You may practice this as long as you like. It will open the conception vessel and spinal breathing will open the governing vessel.
Also, on alchemicaltaoism.com try the little orbit, it is safe and effective. Fill the lower so that it will overfill and gush upwards like a fountain. Practice this first before the orbit. After ejaculation, you won't feel much qi so wait one year because you might be over anxious and focus too much on the qi sensation. Be patient with your progress, it is gradual but you will get there. When you open your orbit, all your health problems will disappear.
Also, feel free to work on individual centers without circulating qi. Like if you have allergies, just meditate on your solar plexus energy center, it will help.

I can’t seem to find raw honey anywhere so I can’t try that solution you gave me yet Pietro.
Fajin I have been smiling to solar plexus, and doing healing sound on liver only with the shhh sound. It seems to have worked, but only just a bit.. when I step outside after a bit my nose and eyes still gets crazy again!
I have some questions!
Spinal breathing, I have no idea how to do it. Is there any manuals/books I can use to learn it?
About the little orbit, on Alchemical Taoism it says there is danger of relying excessively on the microcosmic orbit?
Overall these methods seem great, but I feel and wish I had some sort of instructor who knows what they are doing to teach me, like you Fajin, and Pietro! I might plan on travelling just to visit you guys to learn the fundamentals.
About opening the microcosmic orbit, are you saying that once I know how to use the microcosmic orbit, and practice it daily, everything will be A okay from there?
Is practicing these chi kung practices something where you have to continual develop? if you don’t you will be stagnate, and be screwed in the end? like once I learn 6 healing sounds, inner smile, i have to move on to microcosmic, and iron shirt and wahtever comes after, if i don’t will I be stagnate and screw myself in the end?
Right now all I know is 6 healing sounds, and a little bit of inner smile. I combine this with practices like 5 tibetans, and other simple western excercise stretches. I do a lot of walking, and some jogging, and practice the tree/horse stance which you guys taught me.
I find that when I do the 6 healing sounds, it really cools my body, I find that it cools my body way too much and I get very cold, afraid of wind, cold etc. This is perhaps from my deficent condition, and lost of jing from before. So should I continue to do 6 healing sounds, or sound I stop? I do 6 healing sounds twice a day, one in the morning when I wake up, and the other time I do it is right before going to sleep. The 6 healing sounds have never been taught to me by anybody, I only bought the online book called Taoist Ways to Transform Stress to Vitality by Mantak Chia. I’m planning to integrate the inner smile next, but to be honest I’m really afraid to move on. All of these excercises seems like you really need an instructor who knows this to teach you the proper way!
Oh wait, Michael and Mantak Chia both have DVDs, do you guys think I could learn from those? or is it still best to learn from instructors?
How about you Fajin, and Pietro? can you guys take me in as a temporary student to learn and build foundation, so that I can learn to heal/build myself and grow from there?
I currently live in Montreal and go to school there, but I can save up and visit you guys temporarily for training. I really want to bring balance back to my health, mind, body and soul!

Reply back with your e-mail address so that Pietro and I could go more in depth, because I don’t want to take up too much bandwith here. I learned from a teacher and not from books when I was starting out but with Michael’s fundamentals, ie. his audio courses, and Pietro and I helping you out online, I think you can manage the basics. Use the money to buy Michael’s fundamentals, I’m pretty sure that is the smartest investment you can make right now, particularly his fundamentals one and two.
Prior to your visitation to the forum, I helped out another young guy about your age whose name was beyondthoughts, you can probably search it up on the forum. I wonder how he is doing now, not much word from him lately. He can post his e-mail now too and I will help him, curious as to how he’s doing.
Spinal breathing is a very safe technique that I explained in I think my first post to you. It is very safe and you won’t injure yourself if you are careful. All you do is inhale from your huiyin, all the way up your spine and up to your baihui, then exhale down to your huiyin again. You simply repeat the process and the more your practice, the smoother and less restricted the pathway is. If you conserve your sexual energy by not ejaculating you can really feel the qi going up and down the spine as you breathe. It will clear the spine.
The other technique that I taught you about bring the heavenly qi down through your baihui and going down the conception vessel to your dantian is an excellent way to clear the front conception vessel and tonify the dantian with heaven qi. Doing this with spinal breathing will get you started without any qigong deviations from practicing the microcosmic orbit.
I prefer stretching for beginners better than beginner movement forms like ba duan jin or five animals because stretches actually stretch the organ channels and I find them more efficient at breaking blockages but Michael integrates nei dan with the moving form (wai dan) so it is also very unique and effective. You may try his beginner material too.
Just continue with your daily practice, and what’s important is that you are gradually improving, no matter what pace it is. Once your orbit is open and flows freely without any restriction of energy blockages, your health will be strong and your emotions will be balanced. I don’t see how there is a danger on relying on the orbit.
Your orbit is circulating naturally and by your concious intent, you are freeing up the flow to make it smoother and stronger and fill up the front and back channels so that they will then, once they are full, fill the 12 primary organ meridians connected to your arms and legs. Little orbit is an excellent practice for you right now to build up your jing.
The allergies will disappear after quite some time, you will have to practice longer and recover all that spent jing. All your endocrine functions will be balanced including your liver. Be patient.
Qigong or chi kung does not require continual development. Some people only learn a simple movement form like Ba Duan Jin (Eight Peices of Brocade) just to improve health and prevent disease and do that for the rest of their life. It is your choice to continue with higher practices if you want. I would suggest not to worry about that right now and just stay on task about bringing your body back into balance and harmony!

I’m gonna keep doing six healing sounds, balance my diet with meat and starch, but more veges, fruits, and grains.
I’m also going to try the two methods you said, the spinal breathing and the other one to build the conception vessel.
I’m seeing improvement in my health but again its very slow, energy wise I don’t get tried which is graet! but I do get tired by the end of the day. However, sometimes I feel I have a crazy energy boost in the evening where I’am so flexiable, agile, and strong, like I hvae more energy in the evening/night then the day. But this is only sometimes.
My weakest thing right now would be my eyes.. they always seem to get tried VERY VERY EASILY! Its always my eyes feeling tired, drained, hurt, etc etc.
My allergies lately have settled down surprisingly.
I’m going to check out Michael’s dvds and see how it works out, If I have any questions I will ask about it here, i will keep you guys posted

May 4, 2006 at 7:13 am #13439wendyParticipantAllergies are connected to the liver, like your eyes do. So when you allergies get less it will move to another area, like your eyes or your tendons/muscles.
How many hours do you spend with computer and tv? Computers/tv, lot of reading, drain your energy out of your eyes. So if you work a lot with it, stop every hour and take a break. Put a plant next to your screen, so you look at the green color of the plant next to your screen. During the breaks, go out, or take a look at green areas, even posters will do. And move around, do some excercises, it will move your liver energy.
And do a liver cleansing as well, or take a few days on juice/tea to give your liver a break. There are many methods for liver cleansing, look on the net for one that fits you.
Allergies are connected with frustration that is not expressed – so healing sounds are good for that and/or liver stagnation and acids/toxins in the body. Body cleansing… take hot tobs, sauna, brush your skin every day, a brush with copper in it is best, it creates negative ions which help detox as well, take detox tea etc…

So in every health store you will find raw honey, it is not mentioned ‘raw honey’, but it is mentioned ‘not heated’ and of course if you see extra sugar add to it, leave it. Unless Pietro is referring to something completely different.
When honey is heated they have more profit because the honey becomes more fluid. When it is gathered ‘cold’ they have less profit but all the healthy enzymes and vitamines are still in the honey.May 4, 2006 at 12:13 pm #13443wendyParticipantHildegard von Bingen, the mystical german nun:

I really appreciate your sharing of knowledge, and support!So the key thing is to keep the liver clean and free, and look at a lot of green stuff!
I will definately take breaks from work and school, I keep forgetting! When I study for school I always read to my eyes kill, forgetting to take breaks. There is a lot of intense studying and work.. I swear most of it is mindless crap to fry the brain in university!!
I use to watch a lot of tv, and computer! I mean spending half a day watching tv, or the whole day on the computer with msn, chat, computer games, things like that.
So I will definatley be going out more for walks in parks, and to try the green grass excercise to shed a few tears!The healing sound you and Fajin recommended has definately helped!
Honey which Pietro recommend has also seemed to help as well, also thanks for adding the extra info about honey! this will make it easier for me to find raw honey!Its funny how so many of these essential life lesson, and information is never taught to us in school.. instead in school we are taught all this academic balony which only leads us to more stress, frustration, greed, and competition! hvae you guys ever noticed that?!?!

Thanks for your reply, and nice summary of the HT practices.
I’m going to stick with the fundamentals: inner smile, 6 healing sounds, and microcosmic orbit only, and not move on.. for now anyways. This way if I mess up I won’t screw myself completely.
I will only advance further once I find a teacher who can start guiding me properly. I guess this will let me clean out, and detox my body and stick with the basics of stretching and light excercises until I find a teacher to show me the intermediate and advanced stuff.
About training with you guys: Fajin, Pietro or anyone else. I really think that would be a cool idea for me to stop for for a week a two. We can talk and share life experiences. I’m really up for the idea and wouldn’t mind going to Vancouver, or Germany. I’m in school and would definately need to save up, but i’m not going on any crazy tour trip, just the basic food and shelter should be sufficent.
In the mean time it’s liver cleansing, balance diet, light stretching, excercises, sports, mixed with inner smile and 6 healing sounds!

I disagree with some of the things you say.
In regards to learning with an instructor, I think that Jonathon only needs himself and not an instructor to re-balance himself. I have come across many people who were able to learn qigong by themselves and heal themselves from certain problems. Of course, an instructor will speed things up but one is able to do it by himself especially with online help.
I also disagree that the microcosmic orbit is not able to heal anything. On a deep enough level, it is. TCM believes that all illness is as a result of an imbalance of qi. The qi in the primary organ meridians are filled up after one fills the conception and governing vessels. So then when all 12 organs are working properly, health is restored. Even with cancer, on a deep blood/jing level, the orbit can cure. Just focus more on that particular energy center and it will be cured. It only depends on the time you invest in your practice.
Btw, what’s with the big emphasis on honey, how is that such a huge help for Jonathon??? He just needs to stop masturbating and his jing will slowly recover, the emphasis should be on that, it’s the very root.

Your DHEA, which is kidney yin in Chinese medicine, is supposed to be converted into testosterone, which is kidney jing. Your jing is deficient as a result. You need to work on your liver which is to weak to support the conversion via your pituitary-testicular axis. The liver and kidneys are a team, when one isn’t working properly, it can have a huge effect on the other.
The root of your problem in this case is your liver. Heal your liver and kidneys will become balanced! It is OK to be celibate as long as you INjaculate up your spine. That’s where the emphasis should be after you heal your liver. I’m pretty sure your adrenal cortisol levels are low as a result of this too. Work on your liver!
Dual cultivation is about energy exchange. It is not a requirement, but can help. I get alot of yin from the earth because my root is very deep and strong.

I forgot to mention some tips for your liver. So, once you strengthen your liver, your excess kidney yin will be put to good use and your jing will be plentiful.
I know that Trunk and Plato, from my knowledge, recommend cod liver oil for the liver. This is pretty solid stuff! I recommend you try it. It will allow your liver to produce the necessary enzymes for the conversion of the DHEA.
Maybe you know this, but I’ll emphasize it because it is very important. Make sure you clear any emotions of the liver, especially anger which really burns out the liver.

Take the suggested dose as the potency may vary depending on the harvesting and the bees. Take your dose every morning with a very small amount of warm water. Do not take your dose with a meal or with a fruit shake. As fruit shakes are normally consumed in the raw form they tend to tax the Spleen/Pancreas. You will assimilate the royal Jelly better by itself. Also I feel it is important to respect the royal jelly that you do take. Every dose is a bee’s entire lifes work. Also in my opinion you need to be doing kidney yin and jing building. Michaels techniques presented in sexual vitality qigong are excellent. Microcosmic orbit just after the royal jelly consumption seems to make it more potent. I hope my babble helps.
