I have not watched the whole thing but I think people will find it entertaining.
October 4, 2007 at 5:18 am #24707NnonnthParticipantI saw the title page and didn’t want to watch more it’s the gnostic church and Samael Aun Weor. Personally I don’t like those guys much. j
October 4, 2007 at 6:12 am #24709NnonnthParticipant… the free download of the book upon which that vid is based, weor’s book on tantra. I can’t find it right now but I’m sure you can if you search. I had the pdf but I binned it. Read it, you will find Weor admiring talking of the old temples where men would have their head cut off if they ejaculated.
Research weor and you will find his doctrine is poisonous and unpleasant in the extreme, completely unbalanced and filled with darkness IMHO. The wrong kind of darkness. Talk to people as I have who came out of his organization, they speak about being shunned and abused for having become pregnant, rampant racism and homophobia, and most of all, authoritarian doctrine.
Weor undoubtedly knew alot but he didn’t do the basics, didn’t ground, and certainly didn’t balance his elements. He was on a huge messianic ego trip and he has probably f**ked up alot of people. Not everyone who understands the importance of sex in spirituality is a positive person sadly. Sorry I’m only saying what I have found to be true!
Michael has spoken about those who transfer their guilt about sex to guilt about ejaculating and he was one of those and he passed this along as truth. He considered it an unforgiveable sin, but in fact does not give any decent techniques in his book about sexual energy. What he does give is rhetoric, and he inveighs against jews and africans and homosexuals with equal disgust. j
October 4, 2007 at 11:29 am #24711DogParticipantI watched the film and I will say he is confused on some key points and guilt ridden. You do not have to buy the whole cow to get the milk. Never found that perfect teacher out side my self.
October 4, 2007 at 11:48 am #24713NnonnthParticipantThe thing is people do come out of his organization quite damaged often IMHO, and it was quite a big thing at one time, like in South/Central America for instance where he was born. Out of interest did the film actually get to the major drumroll point of orgasm being the cause of all evil and the point of the biblical temptation story being never have orgasms? I mean to me that’s the kicker. From what I heard people on forums who have orgasms after they joined get insults etc. Those forums are still around BTW j
October 4, 2007 at 12:38 pm #24715DogParticipantHe is definitly against sex in a superfical since or for just having kids. But his pressitation of this idea is guilt ridden and confussing. He also does not make a clear destinction between ejaculation and orgasm. I am sure it would be a hit in south/central america as the Roman Catholics already laid the ground work for guilt. Well you did not get burned nor did I, so what happened.
October 4, 2007 at 12:58 pm #24717NnonnthParticipant>>Well you did not get burned nor did I, so what happened.<>As one of many highly
accomplished masters of the Gnostic Tradition, Samael Aun Weor provided to
humanity a complete teaching for self-revolution, so that sleeping humanity
can awaken without the danger of falling into the hands of the many
individuals who are but the blind leading the blind.<<This does indeed mean follow me and shut up and again it's the same thing. You saw through that video but alot of people don't. Where are the teachers, like Buddha or many others, who said, don't believe anything I say but test for yourself? Those words would never pass Weor's lips and he has a real problem with anything dark or watery that is making life more and more difficult for everyone. j

If you read one bad book in a library would you burn the whole library down. Poeple will have tuff lessons, compassion I feel comes in not preventing lessons but giving people tools to help keep them in the moment. I hope that makes since. I hope you find peace with this subject.

I'm not at war with Weor! I hope everyone he misled finds peace and I hope he finds peace with himself. For his teaching I still can't find any respect and this is all I'm saying. j
