“When we consider all these factors together, the Earth is truly experiencing a whole new cycle of possibility beyond anything that has ever happened before; and we are here to be a part of this grand evolution.”

August 2, 2007 at 9:05 am #23268wendyParticipantAlexander, from time to time I am having this inner friction with my name. Reading in the link you posted about the name change, it reminds of my inner itch. It is a process, where I accept, and then in the process of change I start looking for a name that resonates with who I am. It has been a process since my birth. My real name is not even Wendy, on my passport it is Ludwina, so my entire life I’ve been confronted with two names that did not fit my personality. Ludwina is an you could say, administrative error. My mother choose Wendy, yet my father liked Lila or Leila better, although he refuses to admit that till today. Anyway officially I am not existing as Wendy. From my fathers side I was not a wanted child, so he did not care what name I had really. When he went for the administration, he just agreed on a totally different name given by the desk man, without standing up for the name my mother wanted. There are no birth cards with my name, not existing.
It has been an interesting process so far, in accepting who I am on different levels and in this creative growing process, looking for a name that represents ME.
Any suggestions are welcomed 😉
August 2, 2007 at 10:10 am #23270sebastianParticipantAccording to the Mayians in associatiosn with Pleiadian sources the Photon Belt is the causa the earht life ends in 2012, or what reaction would cause this belt on earth
August 2, 2007 at 10:18 am #23272sebastianParticipantSorry for double posting.
If we are sufficiently evolved at the time, great advancements will occur in our consciousness as we attune to the higher-frequencies. If we are negative, that is, possess too many lower vibrations, the result of selfish actions, we are not expected to survive the frequency incompatibility.

August 2, 2007 at 2:28 pm #23274Alexander AlexisParticipant“What’s in a name?”
You are.
You’ve said so much so clearly here. Maybe you don’t see it. I think you have all the information you need already and maybe just a little sitting with it will help it settle into place inside you.
Did you know that Lila means “play” in Sanskrit. The play of divine forces in life. In Arabic Lila and Leila mean “night.”
Do you like any of the names you’ve mentioned?
Interesting that you should ask me this question since I created my own name.

August 3, 2007 at 5:04 am #23276StevenModeratorOur spiritual evolution has reached a threshold.
We are in a period where it is going to ramp up significantly.
The amount of spiritual energy that the lifeforce has been giving
us has increased. A whole new consciousness may be dawning.Unfortunately, in an attempt to provide a reason for
our upcoming jump in spiritual evolution, some well-meaning
spiritual adepts, astrologers, and psychics have been
given some misinformation from a group of ill-informed “scientists”.Sorry to throw some ice into the hot tub, but it is
probably NOT caused by the “galactic alignment” phenomenon
or the “photon belt”.WHERE WE ACTUALLY ARE IN SPACE:
1. How big is our solar system?
ANS: If you measure out to Pluto, 6/10000 of one light-year.
If you measure out to the heliopause (beyond the Kuiper belt
where the solar wind dies off and is replaced by interstellar wind),
4/1000 of one light-year.
If you measure out to beyond the Oort cloud, where the gravitational
field of the sun is dominated by the gravity of
surrounding stars, 2 light-years.So being overly generous, 2 light-years maximum (although
realistically much less).2. Relative to the galactic plane of the Milky Way, where are we?
ANS: Starting from the galactic center of the Milky Way, i.e.
the supermassive black hole at the center, and traveling outward
in the plane of the Milky Way a distance of 26,000 light-years
we reach the Orion Arm of the Milky Way. From this location,
go up ABOVE the galactic plane 20 light-years and you reach
our solar system.3. If we are 20 light-years above the galactic plane, and
our solar system is less than 2 light-years (max) in size,
how could we ever cross the galactic equator (i.e. the plane
of the Milky Way)?ANS: We can’t.
4. But I thought that the sun was crossing the galactic
equator on 2012?ANS: No.
5. What is this “galactic alignment” business then?
ANS: Since the Earth is on a tilt with respect to the orbit
around the sun, since the orbital plane of the solar system
is tilted with respect to the galactic plane, and since we
sit 20 light-years above the galactic plane, you can
look up into the night sky at certain times and see
a diagonal band of stars in the sky. This diagonal band of stars are stars that lie in the
plane of the Milky Way. Thus we are looking at the
galactic edge, i.e. equator of the galactic plane. From the perspective of the galactic plane however, our line of sight
starts at some point in the galactic plane and rises up and above the
galactic plane until it reaches our eyes on Earth seated
above the galactic plane. If we were to look at the night sky and see an object
pass from left to right across this diagonal band, it would
“appear” to cross the galactic equator (since the band is part
of the galactic edge). However, in reality what is
happening is that the object is just crossing our line of
sight that starts in the galactic plane and rises up and
above it to our eyes on Earth. At some point, about once a year, as we rotate around
the sun, the sun will appear to cross this line. Thus
once a year, the sun “appears” to cross the galactic equator,
but is in reality still many light-years above it but crossing
our line of sight with the equator.6. If the sun “appears” to cross the galactic equator (but
actually doesn’t) once a year, then what is this “2012 galactic
alignment”?ANS: The apparent crossing happens a few hours earlier
every year. Ancients predicted that near 2012, the yearly
“apparent” night sky crossing would happen on the Winter
Solstice. Actually, they were off by a few years. The
crossing happened in 1997.7. What is this “photon belt” stuff?
Due to the higher density of stars in the galactic plane,
more light is being emitted in the galactic plane than outside
it. Particles of light are called photons. Since you
are bombarded with more photons (i.e. light) in the galactic
plane than outside it, the galactic plane is also called the
photon belt.Since some people have misunderstood the “galactic alignment”
to mean that we are actually crossing the galactic plane, then
those people have mistakenly deduced that we are going
to pass through the photon belt. This is not the case.8. Are we passing through anything?
ANS: Our solar system is moving. It is moving through the Milky Way,
rotating around the galactic center. It takes about 250 million years
to orbit once, and it has orbited about 20 times since the formation
of Earth. Currently we are moving through the Interstellar Cloud,
which is a region 1/5 as dense as the interstellar medium you find
in the galactic plane, but twice as dense as just outside the cloud.
We entered the cloud about 100,000 years ago, and will remain in it
for another approximately 15,000 years.SUMMARY:
We are not moving through a “photon belt”.
I’m not sure that the “galactic alignment” is anything special.
We are not crossing the galactic plane; we really just have
an optical illusion that happens yearly and
in particular happened on the Winter Solstice in 1997.I’m not sure what the Mayans had in mind with 2012. The
“Winter Solstice galactic alignment” was attributed to them
after the fact. Who knows what they were actually thinking,
and whether 2012 may be significant for other reasons?I think that what we will end up discovering is the real
reason for the change will end up being something along the
lines of:“Consciousness is shaping our reality, and our reality is
shaping our consciousness, while both are fed by the lifeforce”Sorry for the ice bath,
SteveAugust 3, 2007 at 9:58 am #23278sebastianParticipant[Quoted]It takes about 250 million years to orbit once.[/Quoted]
I’ve read it only takes 24000 years our solar system to orbit the galaxy center.
In fact it’s a scientific theme, despite I couldn’t get info from a scientific site as NASA or similar sources. Only found info about the photon belt from “mystic” sites, that’s weird.August 3, 2007 at 3:35 pm #23280StevenModeratorAt 26,000 light-years from the center, that makes the
circumference=2*pi*26,000=163280 light-years (approx.)We *couldn’t* orbit in 24000 years, or we’d be traveling
almost 7 times the speed of light. Most likely, it said 240 million years–which is possible.
250 million years is only a rough estimate.
Depending on the source, anything between 220-250 million years
can be recorded. I’ve included a link at the end of the
post that demonstrates the variance.Basically it is measured by first measuring the distance to
the center. This is done by something called gravitational
lensing. Then our speed of relative motion around the Galaxy
is determined by comparison of Milky Way stars. The time
to complete one orbit is found by dividing the circumference
by the speed.Lots of information about the Milky Way can also be
found (with supporting references) at
http://seds.org/messier/more/mw.htmlAs for the photon belt misunderstanding, what happened
was a German “scientist” misunderstood some astronomical
data back in 1949, and used it as support in his
“mystical” book on doomsday. A few people that read the
book in German gave lectures on it. Having heard about
it, a woman who wrote for a new age magazine wrote about
it having assumed it to be legit based on the supposed
credentials of the “scientist”. From there it spread
by well-meaning individuals . . .Some new age websites have caught on; some haven’t yet.
The trouble is that a lot of mystical websites/books/etc.
are written by people that have had some very real
spiritual experiences and hence have a lot of information
to share; however, in an attempt to try to lend credibility
to these insights they reference random scientific facts
which oftentimes aren’t valid.Of course this doesn’t mean that their spiritual information
is bogus; it just means that the “scientific reason” given
is not.Oh, here’s the link below on the galaxy orbit time variance
(I think the Milky Way site I mentioned above also has
the orbit time, actually):Best,
StevenAugust 5, 2007 at 8:33 am #23282loesParticipantI personally like your name. And not just the Peter-Pan connection (friendy-wendy)
But Wendy also revers to changing direction, neverending cycles, rings, for ever changing and flexibility.
Not a bad name to have and from what I’ve seen from you, I think you live up to it.I would have a problem with Ludwina: “friend of the people”, as I do not get along very well with the people-pleasing part of myself (yet?).
Having the right name is important though and sometimes I resent mine too. Loes is from Louis wich means “brave warrior” and I’ve seen many a barricade in my life of which I am beginning to get sick and tired. But then I also tend to think that everything happens for a reason and that there are no mistakes. So this warrior part of me may come in handy one day. I would love to be a Sarah though!
I understand what you mean about not being wanted and I think giving a name should be a consious decision. I was lucky to be named by my brother , who died the year after I was born. My brother has always been my guide and for that reason alone I could not change my name.
Did you ever sorted out how your double name influenced you in terms of numerology?
It may give you some insight in how this “mistake” influences your life.Loes

August 6, 2007 at 6:07 am #23286wendyParticipantI took this whole name issue with me in silence, again. And again I come up with the feeling I have to accept this name. Wendy is chosen by my mother, my last name is a given by my father, that is how they made me and I feel I should honor that choice, like Loes said for a reason, it is part of me.
We all live split lives to some extend, and I am very aware of my different levels of ‘life’.All this parts make one ME. For the outer world it will be Wendy, for my inner world it is nameless yet full with meaning, to me. Unnecessary to name that part, it is infinite, that what can not be named.
And Loes, I started to look into the name Wendy more deeply
http://www.wendy.com
and maybe it is not a bad choice after all 😉Gwendolyn and Guinevere are etymologically related in that they are both Welsh names beginning with the element “gwen-” which means “white/dazzling/holy” and is a *very* popular and productive name element for both female and male names. (The Welsh form of Guinevere is Gwenhwyfar, “white phantom/shadow”, which is an exact cognate of the Irish name Finnabhair, the name of the daughter of Medb and Aillill of Connacht, in the Ulster cycle). Personally, if Wendy is derived from a Welsh name, my candidate would be Gwendydd (pronounced Gwen-deethe, “white day”), which was the name of Myrddin (Merlin)’s sister (as in the poem Ymddiddan Myrddin a Gwendydd ei Chwaer, the Conversation of Merlin and Gwendydd his Sister). Barrie’s “Wendy” (Peter Pan)was invented at a time when ancient Welsh names were becoming popular again, as an expression of intellectual nationalism.
As for the ‘life’ with different names, I feel that is how my life IS.
I am confronted with it on different levels of my existance.
So the rough translation of ‘white shadow’ resonates with me, it is a contradiction which is exactly my nature.
Born on the 8th of November, I seem to be a border case as well:
Not born to have an average life, drawn towards the unusual and bizarre things in life, pioneering the borders of human life and trying to change the edges of those borders. It is important for this type to bring clarity in the connection between this inner life and the outer existance. That is mainly my mission and my challenge.
thank you both Alexander and Loes
August 7, 2007 at 10:08 am #23288JernejParticipant24000-26000 years are parables of north pole precession, north pole supposed to be shifting from (almost) polaris to (almost) vega (of lyra constelation)and back via thuban (of draco constellation) to polaris . The peak of polaris allignment with north pole is around 2100ac, thuban was circa 4000 years ago. In the centre of north pole wobble is draco constelation.
