It is said that the organs can store energy like a battery. Can anyone explain their experience of this further?
Logically to me this would mean that the chi would be stored as chemical energy in an organ, like a battery. So then for this to happen the sensation of chi energy would fade as it was stored in the organs, or an organ. The energy could later be pulled out of the organs and converted back into chi and used in MCO or whatever.
I don’t really have this sensation at all. The chi doesn’t feel like it gets stored as chemical energy, rather it feels like it is still there as chi. Organs have more energy, sure, and later any time i sit down to meditate the energy increases every time, unless i use it through exercise, studying or expel/ground it out of my feet, but i never feel like i can store chi in my organs, as in the chi sensation decreases, then later i can draw the energy back out. I can generate energy out of my organse quiet easily, but not too sure on storing it in. Putting energy into an organ for me feels like that energy becomes excited, i feel the qualities of that organ increase, and i can feel the energy overflow out through the associated or other nearby meridians. Energy only stays in the organ so long as i hold that intent.
What i have found however, is chi does get absorbed into my joints. If i run belt channels around all my joints (except spine haven’t really tried that), some of the chi fades and my joints actually feel physically more ‘full’ or more lubricated. I also remember in my young days whilst taking various stimulants, energy used to feel like it was coming out of my joints. Most notably my elbows.
Iron shirt II makes more room in my joints, with iron shirt II i feel it becomes easier to feel chi being reduced as I draw it into my joints. I don’t need to hold intent at my joints, it’s like the chi is fully converted and now been absorbed into my joints.
I’m very keen to hear others experiences with storing energy. It is certainly the weakest point of my practice.

Organs will hold more qi simply as a consequence of them becoming healthier, and this last bit is done vis-a-vis good living habits: diet, exercise, lifestyle; and via qigong . . . stuff like physical qigong, standing meditation, Tai Chi, alchemy meditations, e.g. Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, Microcosmic Orbit, etc.
By detoxing the organs and strengthening the body, the organs will naturally just take in more qi if it is free-roaming about in the body. But if an organ is sick, it is not going to want to take any qi in, unless you specifically use the qi as an aid to detox or heal the organ (which ends up using up this qi).
Sidebar: This discussion doesn’t include specific techniques for packing qi into the organs (preferably done after the organs are vibrant and healthy), nor the more important type of qi packing where you pack qi into the fascia–i.e. connective tissue–(which one can do irrespective of the overall health of the organs). Good qi packing methods are explored in Dantian (Tan Tien) Qigong, which is a sequel course to IS1.
If you are interested in qi packing, get the book titled “Tan Tien Chi Kung”, by M. Chia.
