Hi all,
what are some strategies you found helpful for recovering lost jing after ejaculating? What herbs/exercises/other things have you found to get you back to before you lost it?
Thanks!

July 14, 2005 at 7:03 pm #6337spyrelxParticipantI’m not sure I agree with master Yoda. All those things are generally good for you. But I think exercise and sunshine (e.g., a day at the beach) can be kind of draining. They are chi EXPENDING activities.
When you come, you’ve already expended a lot. So I don’t hot sunshine or vigerous exercise would be my top two reccomendations.
There is no quick fix for building it back. Rather it is a slow process of replenishment.
Certainly some immediate rest is in order. And probably the most beneficial thing you can do for your system.
Among vitamins zinc is most often mentioned, because you loose a lot in the semen.
Meat, particularly pork and kidney meats, are among the “kidney tonic” foods that help with jing. Then there’s the standard cornecopia of herbs — gineseng, he sho wu, etc. These are off the top of my head. Someone here might have a more complete knowlege of tonics. But they are ordinarily used for CHRONIC chi/jing depletion. Not because you — an otherwise healthy guy — happened to ejaculate.
My general advice is that shooting your load every once in a while should not be a cause of concern (and indeed, might actually be healthier for you than constant retention without mastery of higher alchemy).
I’d just enjoy the afterglow and take a nap.

All raw food, especially raw meat, raw fish, raw dairy, and raw eggs.July 15, 2005 at 5:35 am #6343oldhParticipantIt’s always a good idea to supplement your life with herbs… for STAYING healthy if one already is. So:
e.g.http://www.dragonherbs.com have several JING-building formulas for you to explore…
http://www.taostar.com they sell the Master Hua-Ching Ni’s herbal line
or the chang line. http://www.taohealingarts.com (I remember there being 1 specific kidney building formula and a rejuventaion formula for all the 7 glands)
and there are others…
take care

For example, I noticed if i’m diligent about my qigong practice, I generally won’t feel any effects the next day. I also discovered from reading Hua Ching Ni’s book, that a little bit of wine, brown sugar and a raw egg, gets me back to normal quicker. Regarding the herbs, I found they tend to make me ‘hornier’, but they don’t replenish the jing (he shou wu formula, for e.g.). When I talk to most people, they don’t understand what I mean by ‘tired’. For example, if i wanted to have sex the next morning or day, it’s certainly possible, that’s not what I mean. It’s just that feeling of energy depletion that I think only practicioners can understand. That’s why I think most guys aren’t aware of the subtle energy loss until they realize they’ve grown old quickly and can no longer do it like they used to.
I agree that more sleep can generally do it, unfortunately in these modern times who can really get that? So i was looking for something that seemed to work for people from experience.
Let me know..thanks!

July 15, 2005 at 11:15 am #6349SheepyParticipant…if you want super sexual power defined as ejaculating without getting tired you need to eat a raw meat diet, especially eating crustaceans alive and drinking their fluids.
Of course, the other day I bought a $100 lobster and deposited it in the east river to begin to pay back all the lobsters. 🙂 Some people saw me do it and told me I was stupid. I asked them if they thought the lobster fancied me stupid as well?
It started that one time I was in a fish store in Chinatown and saw a lobster trying to revive a dying fish in the holding tank. It grabbed it in it’s claw and tried to stabilize it, over-and-over. It was then that I realized the consciousness of fish in a human way.
This is very noticeable in Hong Kong where people purchase beautiful fish in restaurants not to eat, but to free their lives. Even though these fish spend their lives in the tank, they are quite spunky and all the other fish are mopey and headed to the fishy gallows.
Truly, the lobster I threw into the river didn’t attack me when I cut it’s claws loose and the thing was as big as a small dog.

Sure, one would do best just to pass out afterwards… but in the long run, some form of regular physical exertion not only is energizing it also is great antidote to spermicidal mania.

Seriously, though, very cute story. The only thing I would have done differently is to make sure I was on a hot date with a like minded gal. That would’ve totally pushed her over the edge.
