To Whom May Be Interested:
The serpent/dove analogy may be a hurdle in and of itself, but, nevertheless, it has been around for quite awhile.. as has the plumed serpent and wings of the heart..
It points to a conflict of interests, a conflict of ambitions between the battles that are apparently inevitable to “earthling” human existence and the process of love..
The earthling dilemnas speak somehwat for themselves, they are recorded throughout history and occur everyday.. as to what’s at their physical/emotional/psychological root, that’s a different story altogether
The serpent and dove appear when we ask where life is going, where it came from, what is the point, and what should we do while here..
The Serpent symbolizes empire, power, war
The dove symbolizes peace, spirit, loveThe biologists will tell us that throughout the animal kingdom there are cycles of fertility, cycles of intraspecies battle (ram to ram, lion to lion, chimp to chimp) that establish hierarchies
and we see humans doing this throughout history for their various reasons..
in step those who say that these things are barbaric, of the animal nature, yes, even of the kingdom of the serpent..
ON the other end their is what we so ineloquently term “love”.. which appears to have to do with a spirit, the heart, the divine,
but needs better terminology and context..
The implication is that somehow this peace, this harmony, this oneness of spirits occurs through love and somehow supercedes other cycles of nature.. as to whether this spirit IS a cycle of nature is rarely discussed.. many imply that somehow this SPIRIT is from elsewhere, only transiently within the cycles of earthly nature, perhaps even part of a different stellar nature..
Some go further, thinking that this spirit itself evolves, that love itself is evolving, and that this evolution oof the dove supercedes the evolution of the serpent.. a heavenly evolution superceing an earthly empire “serpent evolution..
the problem comes from the issue of the sepent in the garden..
there is a fascinating opinion that the serpent in the garden and the fruit of knowledge are in fact the psychelic sacrament
some think that it is this psychelic sacrament that helped catalyze language formation within the primate brain..
regardless, many see it as the opening of brain locks to the matrix of nature, both earthly, evolutionary, and stellar, a gateway of knowledge into the truth of things
and others insist that it is this opening to the DNA-serpent life matrix that itself leads to the root of the human spirit
The question becomes, is war a natural part of human evolution, and either way, yeah or nay, is love a superceing option, does it evolve, and if so where does it come from and how is it developed..
If love is a primary/evolving stellar nature whirling within a secondary/evolving earthly system, then we can easily make our choice and embrace the serpent as the mechanism of the secondary earth-life system while we primarily evolve the stellar love spirit..
How can we evolve love? Doe sit develop into something more?

Yet I am not able to answer as I bump against all these pieces of words, concepts and ideas (written and unwritten)you squeeze into one text. But there is a very profound answer to what you are trying to ask. The difficulty starts with your concept of what is ‘LOVE’ to you…January 6, 2007 at 9:34 pm #20219DogParticipantev-olve flip ev-love and Atom. Knowledge of good and evil. It takes you out of the garden. The garden where the four angels sit at the gates to eden. Where the male and female live in harmony.
The dove and the serpant have changed in meaning through out time. Some symbols I think are ingrained others inherited. No one good or bad in of them selves. SO the word love symbolizes different energys for different people.
There is an unchanging force that changes all things it does nothing yet everything. But this is one of the energys of life.
Another interesting one is our intent.
hope this was helpfull, I am not shure what your main question was.
January 8, 2007 at 2:42 am #20221Alexander AlexisParticipant“How can we evolve love?”
Asking the question implies knowing, to some degree, what love is and what would happen if we were to have it (evolve). And it implies the desire for it.
Intending is how things get grounded, manifested. Without the power of intention an idea never makes it out of the mental realm. You have to WANT it to be real.
So, if one knows what one wants, then one can intend it from that place of desire for it. Intention sets into motion the workings of the mysterious Something which brings things about with a certain degree of participation by the intender.
Intention implies making a change in the way things are, which implies practicing being the new way in order that it may exist.
We have to BE it.

This brings up questions-
Why a future self and not the original self?
Wouldn’t original self have the perfect understanding of how to emulate Dao when a future self, of which there can be many, many, might have an incomplete or limited version going on?
And if you were to ask a future self you would be choosing a particular one somehow. The choice would necessarily come from your predominant inner desire and belief system and also probably be affected by input from the original self too.More generally now-
I wonder if there is a way to bypass all this questioning which sounds so mental and can confuse the issues with too much thinking and come more directly to our answers.Simply, Alexander

January 9, 2007 at 2:15 pm #20231Alexander AlexisParticipantAgreed. Causal is deeper.
But thinking is mental. Causal implies intention from the soul-spirit level. Thinking is what a human mind does in circling around an idea trying to “understand” it (which is how “science” behaves) as opposed to reaching for “knowing,” which is what my statement was intended to move towards.January 10, 2007 at 12:50 am #20233Alexander AlexisParticipantI think love is an intrinsic function/aspect/quality of the divine but to call “God” (which is an overly defining term to begin with) love is too restrictive. I think “God” is, and that’s it. In a sense “God” and “Dao” are the same, though this has been argued against. In the end, why are we asking? -A

Visualization is not a mental activity.
It is a form, manifestation of a stream of consciousness.
Like daydreaming.
But it is also seed-planting, if you develop charge/polarized state, and then let go of it.
As it therapy, if you conclude the charge to its release in achieving its goal.Example of effect of visualization is.. you are preparing for an important message to convey to another person. you are nervous, so you work it out in advance. all the nuances and scenarios. you work it out. now the actual meeting happens. if you then try to say anything that you prepared in advance, it will be dry. but if you just relax ang go with the flow, all will be ok and responses will be spontaneous and appropriate. it is the trust in the flow that liars have.
2.
Mental activity is not necessary circular. It is circular when it is intellectual, meaning it separated from emotional (and other) level.
A thing that has no meaning does not exist. Example is looking for key yet not seeing them infront of oneself on desk. And meaning is given on mental level.
So mental level gives meaning to spiritual level. When it is not so, it is an activity that is not rememebered, a common experience of astral projectors.3.
Solve et coagule
You polarize in order for neutral to learn. Many options for it.4.
On another note. Do you have any nice big jpg links of planets at hand, if you do i am interested.January 11, 2007 at 4:15 pm #20239Alexander AlexisParticipantHi J,
I think we are basically in agreement about charging up an idea to give it life. I was hoping Michael or other of us would address the future self question.
As for planets, I have found interesting stuff at http://www.space.com and at http://www.meade.com.
Best, A
