outside of politics,
is anyone familiar with acne or rosacea treatment?
a friend moved into an apartment with a bathroom overgrown with mold.. thought it had been vacant for awhile and landlord cleaned it
then met neighbor who said prior tenant fought with landlord about rashes and doctor costs and thought it was coming from mold
friend discovered wood in closet near bed overgrown with black and green mold and threw it out
one year later face started developing redness and bumps…removed deodorizer from vehicle and started smelling mold in car…detailed car and found mold underneath floor carpet (black and green)
bumps went away for one week with tinactin treatment while car was parked and drying, then came straight back after one week in supposedly clean vehicle..
no signs of respiratory problems or health issues other than mild rash and only on face with some itchiness around inside of arms and legs
now NO reduction from any creams or prescription from doctor
sold vehicle, washed all clothes, fumigated home with mold spore killers
still no reduction, referred to hospital
told mold doesn’t cause rashes, diagnosed with rosacea
“which has no known cause”
but given antifungal, anti-protozoal cream called metronidazole as rosacea treatment within past week with no apparent results
only other difference in lifestyle was heavy vegetarian wheat protein consumption but never diagnosed with any gluten allergy and stopped for one month before metronidazole
she also has inflammation of what look like two nodes right above the nostrils where fluid is building up
if you look at the picture here, the two x’s on the nose are swollen and the red splotchiness of the rash is forming right on the cheeks where these points are
during the week she has redness and acne swelter all over her forehead and chin as well with swelling redness at the chin
so if mold doesn’t cause rashes, then what caused this?
and why is the cream anti-fungal?
these two points on the nose have to be allergen spots.. it’s liker her whole system is gunked up right at these points which I don’t think are any type of lymph nodes
she is also having piercing pains in her groin right when the redness occurs… it’s like the network of points here are running simultaneously with the points on her face…
this article shows intestinal florw/bacterial/possibly fungal overgrowth related to rosacea and apparently this is a common tcm diagnosis
but some online said acupuncture did nothing
wouldn’t it be great to cure this and figure out what is going on?March 7, 2011 at 6:06 pm #36809March 7, 2011 at 7:48 pm #36811
I “developed” rosacea & eczema in 2006 after a fungal ear infection & severe sunburn in the tropics using a new sunscreen with a high percentage of titanium in it. My face was BRIGHT red with some acne pustules & bumps. It burned & itched. Nothing made it better. Found out thru trial & error that titanium in my makeup & skin care products were largely to blame, it’s in damn near everything. No regular doc was any help. The creams they gave me all have toxic side effects & titanium! I found an herbal skin care web site, Anna Bellina, use their “o serum” & now my skin is normal, even colored, no acne. I quit eating wheat, I wish I had done this years ago, I feel great. I stopped wearing most make up, turns out my husband thinks i look better without it. Found a naturopathic physician that treats my thyroid with “Naturthroid”, that’s Armour thyroid dessicated pig gland without the damn titanium in it. I keep doing my tai chi for enlightenment & the qi gong & meditation taught here, started in 2006. It took a LONG time for it to heal but it has. It seems that once the skin is sensitized by mold &/or chemicals it needs to avoid most commercial products/medicine. I don’t think MD’s know what the problem with her skin is. TCM will help, keep trying.March 7, 2011 at 8:45 pm #36813
the stuff is sitting right there in front of them…
the EPA website says YES, mold DOES cause contact dermatitis..
the cream is making hers worse so now she is stuck…
a 400 dollar hospital trip to be told mold’s not the cause and its unexplainable,
it seems to effect more women, what a nightmare!
something is up, i KNOW this is instantly fixable.. i think the spores have caused some kindof breakdown product in her home and that she is just going to need the right thing to kill it and just move
how long did yours take to clear up? if its really a fungus SOMETHING can nuke itMarch 8, 2011 at 10:09 pm #36815
She may have to move. I don’t know what kills it in building.
I stopped putting anything not totally natural or organic on my skin or in my body. It took about 2 years for the redness to disappear. I am very happy with my skin now. My entire skin is hysensitive to chemicals, have to wear organic underwear, use unscented laundry soap. Because of avoiding putting anything toxic on my skin it’s actually healthier than ever before. If you change the acid/base balance of her skin, maybe patting apple cider vinegar on it, her skin will heal itself. A good acupuncture practitioner can get her energy balanced & suggest healing herbs. I also talk to my skin & ask it what it wants or needs, with good results.
It’s not much fun to be a medical mystery to main stream docs. I’m an RN & see this happen all the time to patients. Real healing doesn’t happen fast, it takes time, but no one really wants to hear that when they’re suffering.
