To balance out my sungazing practice, I’ve been considering moongazing for a bit more yin. Hira Ratan Manek of solarhealing.com doesn’t like moongazing, so I e-mailed Michael Winn for his thoughts. Here’s what he said:
“Moonlight is just reflected sunlight. Moongazing is traditional Taoist
practice as well, perhaps even more useful for excess yang western types.
Again, the key factor is what you can digest, the seven alchemical formulas
give a structure to that process. Hira Ratan manek undoubtedly doesn’t know
much about inner alchemy, he is using the sun as external alchemical agent,
albeit unconsciously.

OK to post.”
I’ll give it a shot.
