bagua replied to the topic Repost from Below: Kan and Li Formula's: What is the Immortal Self in the forum General 17 years, 1 month ago
Hi Intel:
You ask a very good and important question. These formulas and the commentary, the details, the explanations that are given as to what is Yuan Shen, Soul, Hun, Po, Immortality are mostly peoples intrepretations, their attempt to explain things. You do not see Lao Zi talk in these terms, which I do think is very important.

Why do you assume Yudlove is a highly evolved person? Because one writes a book does not mean they have accomplished the things in it, his tao practices is from Healing Tao, from M. Chia and all those that conributed to its writing and presentation.
And I would be careful of people’s opinion of others, you direct experience is what matters most.

Healing of what?
It seems to me some taoists understand it is the Yi, intellect, thinking mind that creates this polarity, quiet the intellect/mind, seek who is it that is suffering, when you find it please show it to me? If you cant find it and show it to me then it is a passing thing, truly know this and you are free from suffering and now in…[Read more]

Hello Intel:
In my view the Tao Teh Ching in its simple way presents who we are quite clearly. It clearly states we do not need to go anywhere or add anything to realize the Tao inside use, everything is with us now, no need to create anything.
Tao Teh Ching advises us eliminate the stuff we have added to our essential nature, which has…[Read more]

Our own ego and mind at its core can not accept that we are not
unique and distinct. This generates enough fear and uncertainty
to prevent a complete merging in the beyond with the overarching
ball of light.

This is the problem, the ego is not capable of experiencing our yuan shen, it is a small tool,…[Read more] -

Hi Steven:
Nice post, i have offered some views below some of your comments.
Due to an indesirability of merging with it, and due to
boredom/curiosity on our part, we decide to leave and restart
a new physicality on Earth with a new life.

We are always part of the whole, every taoist teaching presents this.…[Read more] -

This is a “polarized” view of Shen and not all Taoist traditons present this. The Shen is not polarized and the Five shen are not Five separate Shen, but five aspects of one shen. When the Shen is polarized the balance is off and can create pathology.
The Five Shen model is but one way to look at shen. It can be one shen, two-hun/po, Five shen,…[Read more]

post natal, Left is yang and right is yin
Prenatal, left is yin and right is yangthis is common philosophy, but is not too important in primordial from my view. We all have physical and energetic predominant sides, eventually there is not right, not left, just Tao, you move in Wu Ji state, no more thinking mind.

It is one’s own refinement and cultivation, from whatever practices that allows us to digest internal and external energies, my experience is the effectiveness of other practices determines the effectiveness of primordial form. If my sitting meditation is real good, primoridal is good, if my kan and li or star or heaven and earth is good then…[Read more]

bagua replied to the topic Some weird stuff and questions for taoists in the forum General 17 years, 4 months ago
Hi Jason:
When we are conceived and then “In Utero”, Jing is unfolding, there are no channels yet, Jing unfolds and the Chong Channel is created or activated, the code from Jing unfolds into the Chong, then Ren, then Du, etc, this is the evolution of the channels and body. I’m expressing my understanding of how the channel system evolved, Chong…[Read more]

Jing unfolds in life, as its energetics unfold it creates the Center Channel, the Chong channel. The chong is a portal to Jing, ultimately you are cultivating Jing/Essence which has prental and postnatal aspects, when cultivating you are influencing postnatal to influence the prenatal, which fires more unfolding, or Steaming, which is just Yuan…[Read more]

bagua replied to the topic Northern Wu Style Tai Chi Ques for M.Winn in the forum General 17 years, 4 months ago
I dont think it is fair nor accurate to say Tai Chi always burns, releases or looses Qi, quite the contrary, it builds, circulates and refines Qi. Not many people use it for a marital art, most use it for Qi circulation. I do alot of Nei Gong and Alchemy and find Tai Qi is a great form to circulate and refine energy.

bagua replied to the topic Is anyone faithful any more? Article on adultery in the forum General 17 years, 4 months ago
Honesty is to share with your partner what you will do, which allows the other person the choice to leave, stay or whatever. I dont think its necessary to share every fantasy that will not be lived out, unless your partner wants to hear it.

The point is why look at these “sleepwalkers” as some kind of model, see them for what they are. Why not look at faithful people or atleast honest people who can communicate with their partners, lets do a study on them.
We wouldn’t study obese people to see the realities of health and living in the modern world, we would look at people with a…[Read more]

If a person can not be honest with their spouse or partner, what level of human and spritual development are they at? For me its not about faithful or not, its about honesty or not.

You should realize everything you learn in the tao arts there are many vairations, there is no one correct way, if we realize this we will have more fun practicing and learning.
There are many people who use healing sounds that are much older than M. Chia and probally older sources than the version he has presented. Pick the…[Read more]
