bagua replied to the topic Would Anyone Like to Discuss Positive Practice Experiences? in the forum Practice 18 years, 4 months ago
Possibly, Air is Qi, Lungs relate to exterior and air, breath, Qi, metal correspond to Lungs, nose and Air/Qi.
Zhong Qi or Gathering Qi is the essences from Spleen mixing with Lung and Air to make this vital Qi. Metal element is the most potent connection to Air.

Hi Michael:
“This shaping power comes from deeper energetic levels of consciousness that are defined by Taoists as the five organ spiritis and the eight extra channels”
Do you mean the five organ spirits and eight extras are the vehicle that expresses the deeper levels of consciousness?

Hello Michael;
Ermei has a chan/zen lineage, below is a link to 800 year lineage of this branch of ermei. Oh I do love when Chan and Qi Gong/Tao are integrated. Lets not mistake the religious or organization of chan and the experience of it.

Hi Max:
Thanks for the update, I appreciate it.
In my research there is a consistent Xi Sui Jing Shaolin form, that is a gentle form, usually sitting positions, if the story about Da Mo is correct, his goal being to find a way to strenghten the body and cultivate spirit at the same time, I think this form matches that goal.
thanks,
