There is not a single person that did not come from a women. This definitly has an effect. I have learned in my own life that you will get stuck until you have made peace with your mother and father. You have also talked about being mother and father to your self I have also found this important.

I hope you are not ignoring the human aspect of religious Icons. This is why it is important to keep practicing the fundamentals. There is also a humbling aspect to this. There are reports of “masters” through out time that have had problems, especially around sex, and “power”. Agian I think it has to do with intent. Making the patterns and…[Read more]

I thought I make my own view clearer on this subject. Most of this stuff is not so physical. WE seem to like to make it that way. Put faces on stuff, give it a location. I have only heard from people I trust, that there is vast life out there, it is just not so physical. So I do not think that the journey to the center of the earth is a…[Read more]

So you like Confucuan’s interpretations of the I ching? I understand outer disipline and structure in the place of knowing ones self. Also relates to the Mafias approach to protection. I was lookin more for your personal relationship with Confucianism, not so much as a history lesson, Or a lesson in general.

“I don’t know all of the precepts of the different flavors of Christian doctrine, but these statements need explaining. I don’t believe they are all in line with Christian doctrine. ”
Thank you for asking. There is a vast number of interpretation especially in the south. In the south not reading your own bible is crazy. Unlike older roman…[Read more]

What is your definition of karma?

Dog replied to the topic How Buddhist "No-Self" Theory Helps Alchemcal Process in the forum Philosophy 19 years, 6 months ago
“Good actions yeld good karma, bad actions – bad karma.”
Do you mean natural action, or action aligned with the flow of the life force? Becuase the above statement is old, out dated, and dripping with duality.

Yes to think of Doaism to be stuck and not changing would be silly. Humanity is change.
The question is what was the goal? Why where some things added and used. Confucianism seems to have deen a nasty tool. As it not being a comprehensive philosophy. Did it need to be? Where there not imortals being produced? They did more walking then…[Read more]

I can tell this is a touchie subject for you. Being polite and being respectfully is part of the deep rememberance of who you always speak to. Even better is the deep acceptance that comes with time. I still like your main point. But again it does not honner the specific relationship.

I appreciate your view in the context of your story. But the story does not honner the relationship my uncle has with his church. Speaking of being respectful or polite. I do not see how calling my uncle a schmuck is polite, or respectful.
