I think I have this book…somewhere!
This is from the back cover of Mantak Chia’s book titled “Golden Elixir Chi Kung” – you may have already picked some of this info up somewhere…
“Techniques for preparing and using the Golden Elixir to achieve optimum health and spiritual vitality
Includes practical exercises and postures to…[Read more]

Hi Michael
Thank you for your explanations.
It does seem to me Intelligence/Digdug really needs to apologise more directly to the people he has offended (or attempted to offend/annoy, more to the point) on this forum.
Still loving my fruit.

you just don’t like the answers you are receiving. It seems to me you are asking for an absolute objective answer and different things work for different people – meditation and its experiences are entirely subjective…some people are visual, some are more sensory etc etc.
Your questioning also seems to have taken on a touch of…[Read more]

It doesn’t seem to me that Michael has advocated the opinions contained in the article but simply offered the article for viewing and consideration.
A certain amount of cynicism towards government isn’t an unnecessarily bad thing – it keeps us thinking and not just blindly accepting what the news people want to feed us.

what harm comes of that? Just because you don’t like fruit doesn’t mean that other people shouldn’t enjoy it.

Intelligence – just because you have an opinion, doesn’t always mean you have to share it (the first great lesson in life I learned) and, further, if you want to share an opinion and participate in a discussion about the issues (as opposed to a discussion about your posting technique) then you would do well to learn/utilise respect (my second…[Read more]

Dude – the only confused person here is you. Get over yourself already. Your presumptuous “intelligence” blinds you, but no one else.
PS – I am a chick so being “fruity” is allowed.

Intelligence – what did you gain by writing that sentence? What emotion or sensation did you experience? I hope you enjoyed that emotion.
It seems easier to tell people what we do not like rather than expressing when we do like or enjoy something.
I will see you when you free yourself from your mind.

I guess I just don’t have as strong a need to be understood as you do. And our conversation is probably a very good indication of the limits of discussion on this type of forum. That is not to say this forum doesn’t hold value – but it does have certain limits.
I enjoy reading posts and I enjoy contributing but I don’t need to get involved in…[Read more]

Typing/writing – just words. No difference.
A – I feel your judgements of the content of what other people write/type/say, myself included, is where your confusion comes from, that is why you need to *ask* what my intent is rather than letting yourself sense what the intent is. I don’t feel we disagree – our methods of expression differ but…[Read more]

You see…the difference is – there is no difference. You and I do not disagree. I prefer to keep the sentences short because I like to leave the doors open to other people to go where they will without having my voice or my opinion in their head. When you type – you expand on what I am intuiting but that I prefer not to spell out. For me, all…[Read more]

Hi Alexander
Time spent trying to define the undefinable is an entertainment of our “big brains” and we all suffer from it occassionally 🙂
The issue probably really comes down to what *you* think evil is. That is not to say Snowlion won’t or shouldn’t respond nor is it to say that this conversation has no merit. But, evil, as I have said…[Read more]

Emelgee replied to the topic Evil? in the forum Philosophy 18 years, 5 months ago
HI Alexander
The issue of evil for me is a confusing one…at least on a global level…a lot of people do “evil” things believing what they are doing is “good” – a highly subjective judgment call.
I keep it small otherwise I get overwhelmed…I try to act with consciousness and clarity and I find I often have that reciprocated in return,…[Read more]
