Fajin replied to the topic Ego, what is it from a Daoist View in the forum Philosophy 18 years, 8 months ago
Bagua,
I must complement you. It seems to be an interesting discussion. I will now post my replies in numbered form.
1) Some wight say the Ego is not self-consciousness, it is a set of beliefs, conditioning, emotions, self-servival mechanisisms that comprise the most individualized and isolated aspect one’s life. If it were “self…[Read more]

Fajin replied to the topic Ego, what is it from a Daoist View in the forum Philosophy 18 years, 8 months ago
Fajin here,
Good question, I’ll answer your questions through my point of view,
1. The ego is self-concsiousness. It is the xin (heart mind) that needs yi (wisdom mind. Usually it’s yin and yang with people who are egotistical and not yin-yang. The yuan shen and yuan jing or heart fire and kidney water that make up the concsious self. The…[Read more]

Fajin replied to the topic Gunther Weil : view points on his Alchemy expierence? Whats his Story? in the forum General 18 years, 8 months ago
Trunk,
Exactly what I was trying to say with breath retention practices like 9 bottle breathing except you mistook it as a “dis” about other practices traditions. This goes towards a different path, not a daoist path.
IF you follow One Cloud’s suprastructure, you don’t need 9 bottle breathing, you only need the orbit for clearing and…[Read more]

Michael,
Don’t know to much about this but I’ll give it a shot. In comparison, lesser kan and li is going towards self-sufficiency, not needing any partners, right? Like breatharianism, being self-sufficient on yourself without food. Does one then need sex with a woman afterwards? Just wondering.

Fajin replied to the topic What is 'letting go'? in the forum General 18 years, 8 months ago
Depends what you’re letting go of. With emotions, better to transform. Otherwise, it gets to a deep subconcsious level in the body/organs like you said. On that level, it should be transformed rather than giving it to a part of the field and dumping your garbage on someone else. Follow the universal law of non-interference.
On the…[Read more]

Fajin replied to the topic Hung Fut Pai Shaolin Kung Fu in the forum General 18 years, 8 months ago
This style is a mix of hung gar and fut gar as much as I know. I used to practice hung gar (tiger and crane).
The iron thread form of hung gar uses sounds in certain positions to strengthen the organs and it’s about breathinjg and rooting the body with emphasis on consolidating qi, developing hard jin, seeing that it’s a hard style.…[Read more]

Trunk,
How could you say that I don’t understand breath retention or that I am saying bad things about practices or traditions. When I was younger, my Tibetan lions roar kung fu teacher taught me lung-gom-pa. I had to sit in padmasana, inhale “IN A RELEAXED METHOD,” hold breath in lower dantian and jump, and keep repeating this process.…[Read more]

Hey Max,
You are choosing a different path than me. I prefer the effortless breathing, while you choose effort to get to non-effort. It seems like Buddhist/Hinduist external to internal. I choose Daoist internal to external. The natural effortless path appeals to me. It calls me. Good luck to you!

Fajin replied to the topic The Danger of "Letting Go" as an only practice in the forum Practice 18 years, 8 months ago
This is what I like about the daoist path – the transformation. You don’t just let go of the negative to make room for the positive to come in. You transform the negative into positive.
Self-responsibility is one of the highest principles. Daoist alchemy aims at self-sufficiency with the life force after transforming the negative into…[Read more]

Thanks Sining Arrow and Snowlion,
Your responses have been helpful. I know that what counts in the present is all that’s important. Yes, having the formulae now in the present is all I really need but getting some feedback from Micael on this would be very appreciated. Although, “no answer” is a good enough answer for me.

Max,
I know you e-mailed me for a reason and that is why I asked Micael, so I can get an answer from Michael on this, not you. Not saying you don’t know what you’re talking about, just that I know Michael knows more about this subject having spent a greater deal of time with Chia and David Shen.
I apologize to the Healingdao for…[Read more]

Sorry for the misunderstanding Nnonnth. Anyway my answer might of helped others. Back to your question, it is possible to have male orgasm without ejaculation. Here’s some info from Dr. Lin’s site on the subject. He can answer better than I can.
“Male ejaculation without orgasm is called semen leakage. Both sexes can experience…[Read more]

Fajin replied to the topic Ejaculation Without Orgasm in the forum Practice 18 years, 8 months ago
Hi Nonnth,
Don’t contract the PC muscles. That stimulates premature ejaculation. PC musclular contraction triggers the sympathetic nervous response to ejaculate but the muscles around the tailbone and sacrum trigger the parasympathetic response to redirect the energy up the spine! There should’nt be any kind of force in the PC area…[Read more]

Great talking to you Max. The Healing Dao Forum looks like something I can fit in with.
To make something different, you should first have an awareness of it – like forms. As Michael says, practice until you feel like you own the practice. Then, if you feel like there’s a missing peice, experiment, see if it works. And, like you said,…[Read more]

Max,
Tanks for complementing me. I just wanted to say that I think you might have misunderstood – a little. I too follow the daoist way of going internal to external. There are, from my knowledge, 4 positions to practice: sitting, lying, standing, and moving. For sitting, meditation. Lying, dream yoga and standing/moving, internal martial arts.…[Read more]

Thank you for replying, I appreciate it.
I studied under Erle Montaigue prior to going to Wudang at a kung fu academy where they also teach qigong and inner alchemy. He doesn’t take taijiquan as a daoist art but he sure knows his fajin (explosive energy), which is why I came to him to learn the old yang style form with fajin strikes. I also…[Read more]
