LOLolol
Had me cracking up all the way… I’m glad Michael gave you a good seeing to – and sorry for teasing you without giving you a good fucking – there is a reason!
I must admit, I am playing hard to get – because once you “get” me you lose the game, and I lose the game and the fun tension we’ve been creating will be blown. I’m suggesting…[Read more]

Ok – sorry to keep you hanging…
>>Anyway, here goes. To avoid Plato’s Cave yet again I came up with a metaphor – the Blue Cafe. Two painters paint two pictures of the same cafe. Of course the pictures are different. The styles are different. Different season, different time of day, etc. But still, if you knew this Cafe and you see the…[Read more]

>>NN: So – did you read the “Saturn-Slicer” thread? In conversing with Michael it became apparent to me that he is very well-versed in the Hermetic/Kabbalistic model as well as the Taoist one. Why not? They are essentially the same! It is clear. Why else would I be able to say, “What do you call Saturn?” And he be able to reply, “The Yellow…[Read more]

Right – let me rephrase myself adding all the caveats you seem to require…
“my experience of Taoist practices and Taoist practitioners appears, in my estimation, to concentrate on the body far more than my experience of Magick practices and of Magicians – which in my estimation concentrates on the mind more than my experience of Taoist…[Read more]

I certainly don’t think I am asserting an objective viewpoint, but if you think I am we can’t really go further. What follows is an attempt to pique your curiosity rather than an ‘argument’.<>you say that an objective view is impossible. If so all is…[Read more]

How do you know?
When I say ‘naming’ I also mean ‘identifying’ – by structuring your experience you are creating language – it’s impossible *not* to structure experience, since…[Read more]

>>This implies that language is used only by bodies? From my perspective the universe is made out of language. The splitting into yin and yang begins the process with a binary code. qigong is a language – for communicating. etc.
by *naming* yin and yang you are implicitly creating a language – and you have a body. You can…[Read more]

Just to mention my understanding of psychology: We have four main impulses/drives in our life these are:
no.1 Pain and Pleasure,
no.2 dominate or submit,
no.3 using symbols,
no.4 sexual/cultural identity. The power strugle you speak of is really about no.2 and is only a small part of the intrinsic human drive. Some people are…[Read more]

At that level what we call time doesn’t really exist. You are getting far closer to eternity there. Therefore it exists NOW or exhibits NOWness continuously. That is what I was getting at.<<

Personaly I dont think this dumping bad energy game is solely played by males… I’ve noticed that men do their dumping in a different way to women.
I’m completely over-generalising, but for this debate I think it may be usefull. It seems that women tend to dump their crap much more transparently – they much rather talk and explain, require…[Read more]

great question, looking forward to hearing other people’s responses to this.
My suggestion is firstly to decide what it is that you want from chi-kung… Some people want to be physically healthy, or extremely fit, others want to harmonise their emotions, some want extra sexual energy and some have a spiritual calling.
Once you know what you…[Read more]

You know what? – feeling really miserable may seem awefull, it may feel confusing and frightening and as if there is no one else there for you, and perhaps all the spiritual knowledge you’ve accumulated seems worthless and meaningless in this state – but that’s the beauty of misery, it allows you to feel pain without any contraction and holding…[Read more]

As far as I understand, ‘somatics’ was invented by Thomas Hanna, who is the author of that book – (although he may have just come up with the term). As dwd said the movements are designed to bring awareness into muscles that have been unconciously tense over a period of time.…[Read more]

I’m a big fan of Ray Kurzweil – his book called ‘Age of The Spiritual Machines’ really got me thinking about biological evolution as well as our current technological evolution. personaly I dont believe there is such a thing as good and evil in the objective sense. i.e. evil as well as good is very subjective.
G.W.Bush thinks that the war he started is ‘good’ – the people suffering as a result of his actions think it’s ‘evil’ – so which one is it ‘really’, who is ‘right’?
If you hate ‘evil’ then you are hating some…[Read more]
