Yes
Though this also implies “spiritual strength”…another duality. But I hear what you’re saying. It makes me think of the part of ourselves that is comfortable being closed off from the boundary-less mind of nature…people feel comfortable putting down others because it makes them feel questionably safe.

I just lost track of all my thoughts, its all your fault.
To me, the yin resting phase of alchemy is still dynamic, and doesn’t have anything to do with following the breath or letting go of thoughts. It’s about experiencing the qualities of energy that are in process, being more “deeply in process”. This also implies that there is an…[Read more]

There are some lesbian people at my workplace that are regularly judgmental of others and foster gripe sessions at the expense of others. This probably has to do more with human pack mentality and people that don’t fit into the norm. I don’t think spirituality or sexual orientation has anything to do with it, but I did once read a zimbabwean…[Read more]

It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.

Damn, that sounds AWFUL.
Where are they hiding those vampires anyway?
I think the ineptitude may be increased in for-profit institutions. I have never had blood drawn unless I was getting a blood test that I asked for.
I have been misdiagnosed by western doctors and given useless antibiotics but I just stopped taking the stuff after it…[Read more]

Bad
Bad.
As a canadian, I think that semi-socialized health care seems to actually work pretty well despite all the drug dealers masquerading as doctors.

I think Patrick should teach a course on humor. Maybe do some astrology first so that people get stressed out if they are fulfilling their life purpose, and then release it through humor. We need more funniness in this world.

This is a good example of how things are discovered that completely change the status quo, but are glossed over when it comes to expanding the standard world view:

The pure virtue qualities of cultivation do provide guidance though, it is true, to something that we can move towards, and grow in our lives.

Hi Wendy,
I agree with how acceptance gives us the ability to move on, and find the direction we want. Sexuality is natural, and as with all things, we can take dark paths whether they are sexual or not (greed, anger, hate, violence etc.), but we just need to recognize what their emotional content is, and if the interaction is valid on both…[Read more]

I don’t see how “the truth” is separate from “the self” or emotions??? Cultivation adds clarity to the being that we are which is in process. If we are not feelng we are where we should be, then cultivation adds clarity to that direction we should go. Since we are not separate from the whole, how can we dwell on its “purity”, when it is what we…[Read more]

singing ocean replied to the topic Will every home in the future have a hydrogen generator? in the forum General 14 years, 9 months ago
A more efficient electric motor might solve the problem of long distance driving, i.e., it would require smaller batteries, and you could carry extra ones.
The only problem with hydrogen is that it could still be regulated by companies if sold in gas stations.
Getting off the grid seems the best option. It is interesting that the electric…[Read more]
