c_howdy, you are hilarious!
I have a funny story about that “Nude Tai Chi” VHS tape . . .When I was a horny teenager, I actually bought that “Nude Tai Chi” tape and stuck it on a shelf. I didn’t know anything about Tai Chi, but I thought to myself that I’d love to watch a woman do Tai Chi while nude. After buying it, it suddenly felt silly…[Read more]

not familiar with any of David Bowie’s music . . . but lol nonetheless.
Maybe someone could suggest to him to do grounding practices, ha ha. 🙂 -

Some of the warning is just the standard boilerplate “use at your risk” language to avoid lawsuits . . . we do live unfortunately in an “I’ll sue you for lots of $$” society, if one can find an excuse or reason to do so, even if the person hurt themselves due to their own recklessness.
However, there is a slight warning nonetheless. Fusion 1…[Read more]

good . . . we could use a little break/offset from the man-made global warming that is causing so much damage, even if it is only temporary! S

Steven replied to the topic Dream Orgasm in the forum Practice 9 years ago
I understand completely.
The thing is, is that most people have a lot of deeply buried psycho-sexual emotional issues. Sex is the strongest impulse next to survival, and yet there are so many cultural taboos and fear patterns imprinted with it, due not only to religious but cultural conditioning. There is a lot that gets repressed simply out…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Dream Orgasm in the forum Practice 9 years ago
It’s probably not an astral entity. Likely if it were a hungry astral entity, you’d have ejaculated and/or woke up feeling tired and drained. It’s more likely that the Healing Love you are learning is getting your vital organ spirits activated with sexual energy. Then consequently this is amplifying your sexual desire and bringing to surface…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic How humans are driving the sixth mass extinction (article) in the forum General 9 years ago
Probably true.
And if so, humans will die out soon after, as humans need the whole ecosystem to survive.
But at least in the short term, the earth will then recover, and will eventually repopulate the earth with a new type of fauna and flora.
I would expect, or like to hope, that as this occurs and reality begins to set in, humanity…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Question about Wu Dang Red Dragon Microcosmic Orbit in the forum General 9 years ago
In short, it is more powerful because it mixes your blood and jing with the qi being circulated in the orbit. The manner in which this is done, as well as probably an hour of explanation as to why it is superior, is covered in Michael’s Qigong Fundamentals 2 AUDIO course. The audio course has the details for how to do the meditation as well.

Steven replied to the topic Questions about qigong, animals and nature. in the forum General 9 years ago
Yes, there are folks that can connect the physiological qi to themselves in such ways. It’s not any kind of technique that we would encourage in the Healing Tao. In fact, there are related “dark side” paths whereby some practitioners kill animals by extracting their lifeforce qi from them and using to enhance/extend their own lifeforce. I’ve…[Read more]

While I don’t wish to take time to evaluate other qigong systems for you (maybe someone else is interested), I can answer generally about spontaneous qigong.
A few random comments:
Spontaneous qigong can be kinda nice if you just want to get your body moving and your qi flowing. However, overall, I would say most lineage qigong forms are…[Read more] -

I have no idea, but I suspect the latter.
Once people become very experienced in something, they tend to become creative.
Many of the potent qigong techniques we have today have arisen due to serendipity. -
Steven replied to the topic The beginnings of standing practices in the forum Practice 9 years ago
I don’t know the history and how accurate it is . . . many in Chinese martial arts, qigong, medicine, etc. make grandiose claims that are not historical fact. So it could be true, but it could also be an inflated claim.
However, there ARE a lot of Yiquan standing postures.
The Yiquan standing set that I teach at the retreats for the early…[Read more] -

Except the younger generation isn’t going read any essays. The only things they read are text messages from friends and mindless social media postings on their smart phones.
But the buffoonery is self-evident if one even in passing catches some of the Republican primary debates. Anyone paying attention for even 5 minutes can realize the whole…[Read more]

I don’t what Michael was thinking of specifically, you’d have to ask him.
However, let me say a few things that I think are true, which may or may not be connected . . .It’s clear that things are evolving faster and faster on the planet. Think about how many centuries we were in feudalism and agrarian times, and then how in the 20th century…[Read more]

Hi howdy,
No, I’m not familiar with this book.
Your book description looks decent, but my biggest problem is lack of free time to investigate and read outside sources. There are a number of Healing Tao practices that I’m continuing to work on and develop. I’m intentionally being very focused on certain material for the purpose of…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Being comfortable in you body in the forum General 9 years, 1 month ago
This question is vague enough that different people could be responding to the survey with the answer “slightly uncomfortable” for entirely different reasons.
1. For some people, the primary reason is physical:
A lot of folks have poor diet, poor lifestyle choices, inadequate exercise, shortage of sleep, overwork, etc. So for them, they feel…[Read more] -
Steven replied to the topic Iron Shirt Practice in the forum Practice 9 years, 1 month ago
If Embracing the Tree is your bread-and-butter posture, then a few minutes in each of the others you might do is sufficient. In particular, you are likely not going to be able to do more than a couple of minutes in some of them anyway (e.g. Turtle family of postures).

Thanks Perceiver and Jeff for your compliments.
