Steven replied to the topic Deep Healing Qigong: Bathing in Sun and Earth Qi in the forum Practice 10 years, 3 months ago
RE: 1.
The reason for some of these discrepancies is because the handout was written after the fact and there is some overlap between what he does in the DHQ form and what he does in later coursework. In particular, the qi ball method to sun/earth is something used in the Greatest K&L course. The important point is that Michael is providing…[Read more]

No that is not what I said.
I said start facing North, which you have as Fire. Then close your eyes. Turn right 90 degrees. Turn right 90 degrees again. Turn right 90 degrees again. Thus for a total of 270 degrees. Open your eyes. You are facing West, which you have as Metal. This is now the second direction. Then repeat. Close your eyes.…[Read more] -

DHQ is, at its core, a medical qigong form.
All medical qigong forms face south, because south connects to the fire element, which in a five-element sense connects to the heart. The heart is considered the emperor of the body, and is therefore the most important player in healing to the physical body. Therefore, by facing south, you…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic "Deep Healing Chi Kung" going out into the universe in the forum Practice 10 years, 4 months ago
You are expanding a sphere a qi from that location, so the qi is always connected to you. Similar to other meditations in alchemy, it is about claiming more of the universe as part of your own space of consciousness. We are ultimately connected to everything anyway, so this about helping to make it more conscious and not being restricted to…[Read more]

Too much of anything is bad.
Whenever anything is taken to an extreme, the yin-yang polarity flips and brings its opposite. Ultimately when to put such meditations into the day reflects when it feels best for you. This changes from person to person, and often can change from day to day depending on your mood, how your energy is flowing, and what your time constraints are.
The big problem with being too rigid with a particular routine, is that if on a given day your…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Should I be concerned? in the forum Practice 10 years, 5 months ago
Trying to ground your energy down just doing the orbit or various meditations is unlikely to be more than marginally effective. To get seriously grounded, you need to involve your whole physical body and use your body to ground the energy into the earth.
Consequently, you really need to start incorporating some rooted standing practice. A…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic noise and chi in the forum Practice 10 years, 5 months ago
As with any stimuli, negative or otherwise, you can always–if focused–draw it straight into your baguas that you set up in Fusion. The baguas will strip the negative aspect off of the qi, and you can harvest it.
However, this can be difficult to do with noise.
The entry point for noise is the ears, which are energetically connected to the…[Read more] -

Steven replied to the topic Mudras, hand seals … in the forum Practice 10 years, 5 months ago
Michael uses a Taoist hand mudra in some of his alchemy meditations.
To do it: basically you clasp the hands together as if you are interlacing them, with the exception that you keep the index & middle fingers on each hand glued together as though you only have 3 fingers and a thumb.
I’m not sure of its source, maybe he can fill in some…[Read more]

You may (if you are already not doing so) look into the herb turmeric.

I don’t know about Minke, but I know I’ve heard Michael say this.
However, I personally disagree. In fact, it is one of true benefits of certain rare fast qigong forms in the Healing Tao (e.g. Tai Chi 2 Fast Form, and Big Dipper Qigong). By doing these forms fast, they activate and strengthen the cardiovascular system.
It also has…[Read more]

If people want to get wet and smell like pee, and they get turned on by it, hey whatever makes them happy.
As far as urine being used therapeutically externally, such as on cuts and scrapes, etc., this makes somewhat more sense to me. It’s effectively salt water on the wound, is sterile (no bacteria), and is easy to produce. I don’t…[Read more]
