I don`t understand this. Even if one is free from karma, he can still create it?
Doesn`t that mean that he isn`t really free from karma?August 21, 2006 at 7:01 pm #16728FajinParticipantThank you Pero,
You have summed up my point.
August 21, 2006 at 7:03 pm #16730NnonnthParticipant– start with the peterson one if you like, Robert Bruce’s work is also good.
Problem with those guys though is that – although I did manage to work it using their methods – they’re complete amateurs compared to Chang Po-tuan in the story there! For a really good OBE you need REALLY strong relaxed meditative stillness. And you need to spend ages getting used to it without suddenly deciding you know everything already and flying all over the place like those guys.
I’ve stopped OBE for the moment but when I continue I will train using the methods given in Draja Mickaharic’s ‘Magic Simplified’. I still recommend the Peterson and Bruce books as well – alot of food for thought. Also Buhlman. Enjoy! NN
August 21, 2006 at 7:04 pm #16732PeroParticipantNo problem lol, but I`m not sure how I made your point? Is it that karma still exist when you`re Boddhistva/Immortal/something, you just know how not to further create it?

August 21, 2006 at 7:07 pm #16736PeroParticipant… for the reccomendations. Will check it out when possible. Already know of Robert Bruce, though I haven`t practiced his techniques much.
How long did it take you to achieve OBEs?August 21, 2006 at 7:09 pm #16738baguaParticipantWhy is it people dont use free will to stop horrible events, like killing a million tibetans?
August 21, 2006 at 7:09 pm #16740PeroParticipantAugust 21, 2006 at 7:09 pm #16742FajinParticipantHi Pero,
Well, to tell you the truth, I am not an Immortal, so I don’t know. I guess that being free from past karma, he would not want to go back into that karmic wheel. Non-action does not create more karma, it would happen spontaneously if he was really to kill.
What I meant was that you summed up my point as to why an Immortal would not kill an evil leader. Either way, wether he is free of karma by not being able to create it or being free of karma by choosing not to create more, he would not kill an evil leader. That was my point that you summed up beautifully.
Smiles,
FajinAugust 21, 2006 at 7:11 pm #16744baguaParticipantNot so, there is no assurance a more favorable leader will appear.
August 21, 2006 at 7:14 pm #16746baguaParticipantIf one has the ability to save lives and does not, isnt he supporting the actions of the killing, viscious leaders?
August 21, 2006 at 7:15 pm #16748NnonnthParticipantBUT a) I am lucky because I had spontaneous ones as a kid. I didn’t remember them until I started again; but more importantly b) I was VERY VERY bad at it! I went just long enough to see what it would be like if I got good and then stopped to train. I will return to it when I have rebuilt myself in various ways; to be really good at it you need to be patient, this is what I’ve discovered. I hate to be a bore but you can actually injure yourself if you don’t watch out, and I would certainly have done so if I’d continued the way I was – you have to be smart about it.
The thing is it feels great to do so you can get addicted even maybe! That’s why they call it ‘ecstasy’ = extasis = ex (outside) + stasis (standing/being)! Very important to build a nice feeling in the body itself first (Michael would agree I’m sure) otherwise it is easy to get escapist and you can fall prey to delusion. Sorry to sound like your Dad.
With all that, if you have the knack it’s very very enlightening work. Naturally you do not have to restrict your explorations to the physical – those books will give you an idea.

August 21, 2006 at 7:16 pm #16750FajinParticipantHi Bagua,
I think you know the answer to this one. If he is not helping, he is supporting killing is what you said. Your point includes two sides, but what’s between the sides?

Yes and he is like the Tao in that. NN
