any ideas about 2012 ???

I’m not sure that there’s really any consensus here;
everyone sort of has their own feelings–but nonetheless I’ll share mine.

In short, I think it will have to do with rates of change.
Just as the “Dark Ages” could be viewed as a time where things remained
relatively static and had little change–this is a time period of the opposite,
and 2012 represents the peak of that opposite.

In more detail:

The period we are in now–including 2012–represents the
death/birth paradigm. What ends and what we give birth to is
all a function of consciousness. In the shifting of gears, the extra yuan chi that
descends upon the planet will be shaped by the prevailing consciousness.
Fear, panic, and apocalyptic scenarios projected from the mind by society
will create changes perceived as unwelcome; optimism, hope, love, and spiritual
connection will help create positive changes. The degree of each depends
on the spirit of the planet and its inhabitants.

My opinion is that we will overall take the middle road.
The result is that we won’t have the apocalypses that some fear and we
won’t have the complete evolutionary jump that some hope for.
What we will have are shifts in awareness and consciousness–that will
first become more aware to the active spiritual seeker, and then to humanity as a whole on subtle levels. These shifts will initiate changes to our
lifestyle and our connection to the divine. The changes themselves will
appear naturally and will only appear radical if one compares the rate of
change we are experiencing to the rate things changed previously, which
brings me back to my short answer 🙂
