Hey .f –
>>Phill Farber is a little like Newcombe, he combines techniques (Leary, NLP, energy work etc) well and with good insights; he uses magick in a modern way – I think he’s more experienced than Newcombe.
http://www.hawkridgeproductions.com/phil/index.html<< Yeah good stuff, I will investigate more. I love these guys who are just making it up as they go along! Meaning that as a big complement BTW. There's not too much there but you can check out: http://www.noctilucae.com/janfries/
His mix is shamanism with sigils with NLP basically. But he is the opposite of dry and boring. "Visual Magick" and "Seidways" are great books. He also has a book on something to do with Taoism as well, but I forget the title. I haven't read it yet. He makes a connection between Austin Osman Spare and Taoism in their attitudes of "sophisticated naievete" which I like!

December 1, 2005 at 8:52 am #8727JernejParticipantRobert Bruce has mantra ‘you are not your body’.
This is halftruth
Thus is untruth.Meaning is conveyed through resonance.
Thus if somebody is not resonating with energytransferpossibility, this will bias his meaning. So proving is futile.Going out is not necessary. You can just work on your question while going into unconsciousness, receiving the meaning on going back.
In dream yoga or plain meditation.
One divination per one death.Few seconds of contact. Then you pass it.
On regards the external verification via measurement. Joe Macmoneagle was asked to perform specific task repeatedly four time. It showed on his body phisical measurements.

>>Going out is not necessary. You can just work on your question while going into unconsciousness, receiving the meaning on going back.<< Nothing is *necessary*, it's a question of whether it's *fun* or *useful*. "Working on my question" is not the only thing I can use this for! Besides it is coming to me very naturally, so provided I don't neglect the physical in doing it I feel very happy and privileged to be able to explore it. >>Robert Bruce has mantra ‘you are not your body’.
This is halftruth
Thus is untruth<< Well I have to say, if we dismissed every statement that did not contain the whole truth, we would have very few statements left! But this is not meant to be a "truth" - it is a useful thing for people to whom such a concept would be interesting or surprising that's all. I never take anyone's techniques as "truth". >>One divination per one death.Few seconds of contact. Then you pass it.<< I don't quite follow you here. best NN
December 1, 2005 at 10:41 am #8731JernejParticipantIt is difficult to estimate realtime values to time spent in unconscious and in between, and awake.
But speaking in retrospect, i have come to belive that not a lot of time is neaded for many things to happen in inbetween layers.December 1, 2005 at 1:52 pm #8733NnonnthParticipantI’m sorry Jernej –
I’m not making out your sense at all. In fact I have no idea what you are talking about.
>>meaning is conveyed through resonance<< Meaning of what? Resonance of what? >>not resonating with energytransferpossibility<< And what is that? >>proving is futile<< Proving what? Futile to whom and in what way? >>you can work on your question<< What question? >>one divination per one death<< Death of what? Divination of what? >>few seconds of contact<< Contact between what? >>Then you pass it<< Pass what? >>not a lot of time is neaded for many things to happen in inbetween layers.<< What things? Layers of what? And who is Joe Macmoneagle? And what does all this have to do with anything I've said? Yours puzzled, NN

December 1, 2005 at 5:04 pm #8737thelernerParticipantHe has a new book, 90 days to Astral Travel, I think its about $22 bucks. It comes w/ a CD which has guided meditations and a brain wave generator program. First few weeks there are several pages per day. Then it gets down to 2 pages a day.
Lots of homework in it, 20 to 40 minutes of practice a day, not including his Xtra credit:)
I haven’t bought it yet, but its very tempting.
Michael
My latest internet buy was Inner Magician, a book & CD w/ several season based guided meditations(which I collect).
December 1, 2005 at 8:09 pm #8739NnonnthParticipantHeya Michael –
>>I haven’t bought it yet, but its very tempting<< I looked through it. There's nothing much new in it from his earlier stuff... I can't stand things so structured myself, it ruins the flow of it all for me, but if it's Bruce you can bet the info is at least trustworthy. Funnily enough the gonzo grab-bag of techniques from Petersons "Out of Body Experiences" suited me much better. But Bruce always has good ideas. >>My latest internet buy was Inner Magician<< Another one I don't know... I'll check that out. best NN
