Yes, Master Dog – a potential conversation.
November 12, 2006 at 9:10 pm #19160DogParticipantNot quite shure why you called me a master. Maybe a “know it all”.:) I was wondering if you had more to share since it was a short answer to your question. I did like your guys last conversation.
November 12, 2006 at 9:33 pm #19162DogParticipantBoth those guys are into astro-theology, hermetic and shamanistic knowledge. It is where I got that Hollywood thing from. It is alot of Alternative history from the eye of alchemy(not so much inner). They are some of my favorite non channeled material. THe easiest way i can put it is I think they want people to realize that alchemy was a big part of a healthy society back in the day and that this knowledge of selfhood was killed off with only the elite using it to control the consciousness of the masses so the mirror of that is the present day gover-ment(control the mind). SO the only way to fix things is to first shed light on the manipulators(these are the movies) and how the do what the do, then bring the old knowledge of alchemy back to the people. So the mirror will then reflect a healthy human collective.

I just liked the sound of it. I was playing.

I’m not sure (or is it “shure”?) that either Nnonnth or I liked that conversation much! I think we both got a little weirded out from it.
The thought I had in asking him about the ultimate goal of magic was that for me the goals of high magic and inner alchemy are the same – the ultimate work you do is on yourself for your completion and I wanted to hear if he was thinking that or something else but he surprised me with his answer.

ohh, right on. “Master Dog” 🙂
November 13, 2006 at 7:21 am #19168NnonnthParticipant– but a bit over-elaborate if you ask me. Certainly the movies are used for mind control, but with a strong mind the process can be turned around and the symbols used for other purposes – Taylor Ellwood’s ‘Pop Culture Magic’ has examples.
I disagree I think that the only way back is to shed light on the manipulators, who by definition are rather dull. Acquire knowledge by other means and use it to heal in a right manner, is my philosophy. One needs *method*. NN

November 13, 2006 at 12:38 pm #19172DogParticipantohh, the movies I was taking about was the movies I posted, those where they type of movies that are sheding light on the manipulators. I must not have been clear becuase I think you just repeaded me. I thnk I am going to go take some writing classes.

dogI have to say that the older teaching will have to be changed a little to work with the present better.

Totaly agree, THe guys in the movies call it being symbol literate. The interesting thing is that the Medes from Media know how to communicate to all parts of you alot that are unconscious. Look at the way the lite in Light Beer is spelled.November 13, 2006 at 1:16 pm #19174NnonnthParticipantJust not sure I like the whole conspiracy vibe here… the boringness of conventional western monotheism is well offset by the almost Hindu-like profusion of the Hollywood pantheon of symbols and archetypes, I rather like it! I just won’t let it use me.
I meant that I’m *not* interested in shedding light on the manipulators – it’s *me* who needs writing lessons.
As for the ‘old teaching having to be changed’ – yeah quite. I mean I don’t even start off with an old teaching myself. I look at new, old, whatever… it’s just what works isn’t it?
>>The interesting thing is that the Medes from Media know how to communicate to all parts of you alot that are unconscious.<<
Yes of course most people are unaware of the effect these things have on them. Once you do become aware though you can turn the tables. I remember one of my favourite magics of Ellwood's was using some character in a Subway (fast food joint) commercial as an entity to contact on dieting! All the belief-investment people give to cultural icons creates a pool of energy which can be tapped if one is prepared to form a relationship with something so… silly!
When I say Hollywood is manipulative I don't of course mean to imply that it is any *more* so than other religions. All religions manipulate by means of mythoplogies these days, and with Hollywood the table-turning is much easier because pop-culture has to be seen to be owned by the people – take fan-lit. Hakim Bey writes about this.
I once heard about a group of magicians who made something they called the 'HP Entity'. They were very miffed at the attitude of conservative christians in their (US midwest) town towards Harry Potter. They used this entity to take all the negative hatred being sent out and convert it to useable energy, a part of which went to increase Harry Potter sales! Very cool, a judo move.

I was trainned on dissolving connections (Slavinski). Each connection always being twoway. It takes one side to give and take, for both sides.
Now considering your establishing connections.
Do you connect by reuniting?
Do you need to periodically reestablish, strenghten, feed the connections?
I am good at releasing the connection, not establishing. Hence query.November 14, 2006 at 12:59 pm #19180DogParticipantI thought I should not talk to much about the movies and let them speak for the selves. The movies cover so much. After watching the movies I find it hard to believe that most would not feel that the reason they are bord or find religion and history boring is because they stop asking questions. As most in there life have. Most are like a dog content to just go along in a car traveling at great speeds never asking “how do these humans do this or why”. The Hollywood thing was just meant as a little taste, I did not mean it as a blanket statement that everything out of Hollywood or the media is bad. Thank goodness for students of symbols and myth like Goegre Lucas, J.R. Tolkien, and so on. I have to say I do not like some of there theories(mainly about the knights templar) but I thank them for getting people to start asking more questions, and for telling people to look to them selves for the truth.
“I meant that I’m *not* interested in shedding light on the manipulators – it’s *me* who needs writing lessons.”
You already have inside. So now your life reflects something different then it did. The goverments and institutions are reflective of the health of humanity. Just as there is resistance in side to greater free will there will be resistace on the outside.
Harry Potter, Star Wars, Matrix, and Lord Of The Rings all great examples of the energy of this time.

Absolutely, they are one thing. This is why Lao-Tzu says something to the effect that more laws weigh people down and in the end make more lawlessness.

Yes. The whole idea of a connection with something is that one is working with it.

November 14, 2006 at 5:26 pm #19186DogParticipant“Yes indeed that is what makes people easy to program. It’s not so much that people accept the truths of others merely, I think, but that they are willing to accept the meanings and frameworks and masks and so on that they are given.”
That seems to go along with a saying. “The blindest people are those that choose not to see.” (I think I got it right)
Through writing to you I am reminded of my friends situation. He has a sharp and questioning mind, but he is out of balance because he can ask the questions but is not open to the answers. He guards and does not trust him self. I feel this is also the root of his lack of inspiration as an artist. So for the last mounth or so there has been a repeating lesson, one of balancing asking questions and being open to the answers. I have been finding meditation time to be one of the great times of listening.
