Hi Fajin:
The Wu Dan master is in USA this weekend. So you are saying there is nothing unique about the Wu Dan 28-tai ji form for Qi circulation and cultivation, that other forms and qi gong do what it does or more?
thanks,
bagua
Bagua,
Martial forms are for martial arts. Qigong forms are for something more for health. Martial forms do for health too, but not specifically for it. By looking at your website, you have such big knowledge of so many Taoist arts including time acupuncture, I-ching acupuncture, Da Mo forms, nei dan, etc., and especially Chan which is really all you need.
The 28 form is not needed. If you want something specific like Wudang’s longevity qigong, go for that. That’s something I haven’t even tried yet, but looks pretty good to know if you want to increase the years. So, to sum up, no, the 28 form does not have anything unique that most qigong forms have, other than giving a strong qi flow, collecting and gathering heaven and earth qi, strengthening sinews, improving posture, etc.
