Dear Swedich Dragon:
Greed for enlightenment and immortality is no different than greed for material wealth.
It is self centered and dualistic, and thus an obstacle to true attainment.
Therefore these states are never achieved by those who covet them; rather, they are the reward of the virtuous.Hua Hu Ching – Chap. 59
May 26, 2010 at 9:50 pm #34213Little Bo PeepParticipantHow many practitioners of the Healing Tao system do you know of who have achieved enlightenment or immortality?

May 26, 2010 at 11:00 pm #34215wendyParticipantIn one posting you present that immortality can not be a goal but is the result of virtue, yet why do you post a reply where you want to see prove for the ‘result’ by HT practices?
Yet you want a judgement by the readers of this forum, about the existance or non-existance of an end result that can not be the end result, as posted in your previous post about immortality.
Is it not about the path?
So, I believe you are questioning the path and those who walk it and those who teach it.
Is this out of concern or is this out of your own ‘point of view’ where you find your point of view the right point of view?Instead of putting judgement on one path, you might want to enlighten us with your own view point.

May 27, 2010 at 2:13 am #34217Little Bo PeepParticipantI didn’t put forth any opinion, I just asked a question in answer to baqua’s question.
“So, I believe you are questioning the path and those who walk it and those who teach it.”
I am a Senior Instructor with the Healing Tao and a master. What is “the path and those who walk it and teach it”? If you think it is only the Healing Tao path then you are sadly mistaken, that is a duality. There is no one Path to immortality.
“Yet you want a judgement by the readers of this forum, about the existance or non-existance of an end result that can not be the end result, as posted in your previous post about immortality.”
Fancy words! I didn’t judge and I didn’t ask for a judgment. I asked for an objective answer. You’re twisting my words. I never said that Immortality could not be an end result of Internal Alchemy. Master Chia always taught about Virtue. Fusion is all about growing Virtuous energy, so is the Inner Smile and the 6 Healing Sounds; transforming negative to positive energy, so is almost everything he teaches regarding alchemy, which is all about transformation.
Of course the practices are important to refine your energy. This can take a lifetime of work. The ancients viewed Internal Alchemy and the Sexual practices as the key to Immortality. So the Healing Tao practices can surely set you on the Path. The point is the practices in and of themselves will not necessarily take you where you want to go, there are other factors involved as well. No need to be so defensive, you know that. You’re not on a different path than me. I studied with Master Chia for more than 20 years from his very 1st class for Westerners. I even knew his immigration lawyer. I have no bone to pick with the Healing Tao, I’m part of it.I have no agenda here and I certainly wouldn’t put forth any of my teachings here although I might post other things.

May 27, 2010 at 12:09 pm #34219baguaParticipantHello Eric:
I am a Senior Instructor with the Healing Tao and a master.

Can you share what have you mastered?Of course the practices are important to refine your energy. This can take a lifetime of work. The ancients viewed Internal Alchemy and the Sexual practices as the key to Immortality.
******************
I dont believe there is any historical evidence all the ancients gave nearly as much emphasis on the sexual practices as being so important in the alchemy, certain branches do, others do not, from what I know M. Chia did not learn Iron Shirt 3 from One Cloud, another source.Someone asked you if desiring immortality is barrier to it, you responded by saying the greed of this desire is a barrier, or something like that. Curious why you took his desire and made it greed? Is a healthy desire ok???
I have not met any taoist I would say reflects what some call an Immortal, in my filtered eyes I have not, have you, if yes can you share who?

baguaMay 27, 2010 at 1:27 pm #34221wendyParticipantThank you for clarifying your posts.
You are a Senior instructor in HT by name, but are not teaching it since many years you said yourself. So that title is not relevant to me other than being it a name but the experiences you had that made you who you are today makes it relevant, and that is what I like to hear. Who you are, what you feel, what your inspiration was and is, how you integrate, how you live it, that is my personal interest.
Others might find your question on a question an inspiration. But since this is an open forum where we can interact, I wanted to respond, to get to know YOU. Your titles don’t stirr me.
I had spiritual-energetic intercourse with an immortal who told me I had been his wife in his human life, yes, so, the more important question comes, what do you with that, how do you integrate it to improve your own life and that of those around you, what can it offer to the well being of others and the planet, OR is it even necessary to do something with it?
May 27, 2010 at 9:06 pm #34223Little Bo PeepParticipantMaster is a title that was bestowed on me by Master Chia after I finished writing my 3rd book “Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy” in 1999. In this book & “100 Days”, I was able to organize a method of learning Taoist Yoga from a book, that put together many different parts of the Healing Tao system as well as from other sources. His main point was that I had created my own system, something I had not consciously set out to do. He spontaneously told me that now I was a master. He describes it in his Introduction to “Taoist Yoga & Sexual Energy”. I am a master of my own system of teaching Taoist Yoga and Chi Kung this is why I can call myself a master. It doesn’t make me better than you, I’m just further along on my Way.
By the way, something you might not know. Before there even was a Healing Tao, Master Chia called and advertised his system as “Taoist Esoteric Yoga”.
On another level, I practiced higher magic for a number of years before I started studying Taoist Yoga and I naturally brought these skills with me. This has absolutely nothing to do with black magic.I’d call it karmic or evolutionary magic. Over the years I have dealt with gods, goddesses, angels and demons. I will say that this is a very, very dangerous path. An extremely terrifying path. It was something that began by happening to me, not something I ever sought out. To me the fact that I’m still here after 40 years on this path leads me to consider myself to be a master sorcerer, but there really is no such title, my wife tells me she has no doubt that this is who I am. I’d say that at the beginning I was given a chance at a chance to survive. I’m not trying to be dramatic here, I’m just telling you my truth. Look at it this way, if I hadn’t mastered my situation, I would never have been able to write my books and as far as I can see, there really is nothing else like them out there. I had help writing them, but it wasn’t human help and the books turned out the way they were meant to turn out, hopefully for generations to come.
As far as sexual practices are concerned in the authentic old books, they are generally regarded as being of equal importance as internal alchemy because they provide energy neccesary to continue with the practices well into old age. I am currently in the White Mountains and not near my library, or I would quote from a number of sources. But I did a lot of research on this matter and this was what I found. Realistically, all of Chia’s alchemical formulas starting with lesser Kan & Li are sexually based, just not necessarily sex as is commonly understood. The universe itself can be considered as being the result of sexuality on a much higher level.
Chia only learned the alchemical formulas from White Cloud. He travelled all over the Orient learning from other teachers as well.
As far as desire for immortality is concerned, the words I quoted were not my own but from the “Hua Hu Ching” considered to be oral teachings of Lao Tzu. I can see how it can be a tricky subject. I guess I’d interpret it as saying if you start out with your main goal being immortality or this becomes your real aim, your motivations are selfish and poor. Consider the qualities of virtue and how they should effect effect your practice, the betterment of mankind and not solely personal development, should be of primary importance. Other factors include your own spiritual level at birth, which would be based on karma and past lives, your parents and who knows what else.
As far as any Healing Tao immortals are concerned, I was really just asking. Maybe there are and maybe there aren’t. I’d like to know myself. As far as my own level of progress is concerned, that stays with me. But so far, I’m the only master that Chia ever made. Michael says they changed the rules after me. I don’t know. To me it really just signifies a level of attainment, like a high degree blackbelt. This carries a lot of responsibility.

May 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm #34225Little Bo PeepParticipantTake comfort from the knowledge that you have been touched by Immortality in this lifetime and you carry with you awareness of Immortality. With this knowledge all fear of death is extinguished. Otherwise forget about it and don’t let it interfere with this lifetime.

My point was there is no consensus all the ancients emphasized sexual practices were equal to qi gong/nei gong/formulas or living a natural life. Lao Zi, Chaung Zi, etc. do not emphasize them. Of course there is a branch that does, as recent as the Dragon Gate System of Tao, southern and northern branches split on this.I am currently in the White Mountains and not near my library, or I would quote from a number of sources.
